Chapter 19

The next morning at 9:30 am...

Betty got up not feeling the urge to throw up and went downstairs to get some food before getting ready

Alice: morning Betty

Betty: good morning mom

Betty said making some toast

Alice: ah ah no Betty you can't eat before your appointment

Betty groans

Alice: and in order for the doctor to see better on the ultrasound , you need to drink a lot of fluids and not pee

Betty: okay then I'll take some water with me

Alice: no you have to sit and drink a galloon of juice in one sitting

Betty: mom are you serious?

Alice: yes do it now!

Betty: ughhhh

Betty got the juice out of the fridge and sat down starting to drink it

15 minutes later..

Betty: okay I'm done, may I go now?

Alice: yes but don't pee

Betty sighs

Alice: and I thought you were bringing Jughead

Betty: he's gonna meet us at the hospital

Alice: oh I see

Betty: well I'm gonna get dressed and then we can leave

Betty walked back upstairs to get dressed and brushed her hair leaving it down today, grabbing some shoes and her phone walking back downstairs

Betty: come on mom lets go I don't want to keep jughead waiting too long at the doctor's alone

Alice: I'm coming Betty

Betty goes out to the car with her mom following behind her  and they drive off to the hospital

Betty: so I know I'm not that far along but when should we go buy baby stuff?

Alice: in a few months

Betty: okay and the baby will sleep in my room right?

Alice: let's not worry about that right now

Betty: okay then

Betty looked out the window

They arrive at the hospital 25 minutes later around 10:15

Alice checks Betty in and Betty looks for Jughead and sees he's not there

At first Betty felt disappointed but she took a deep breath thinking he's probably running late

Alice: well I see Jughead didn't meet us here

Betty: mom he'll be here , he promised

Betty started to feel nervous wondering what if he doesn't come?

Betty: I don't wanna do this without him

Meanwhile Jughead was having a fight with the serpents

Betty was getting super nervous as it was almost 10:30

Alice: This is why I don't trust the Jones

Betty: mom stop,please

Alice: why?

Betty: because like it or not he's the baby's father and my boyfriend so I'd appreciate if you'd keep your comments about him to yourself

Alice: you know I don't like Archie much either but he's better and I could get him to fill in
