Chapter 40

Betty POV: The day moved on and I looked around me feeling engulfed of guilt and sorrows. Knowing Jug wasn't here  because of me. If it wasn't for  me he wouldn't be held captive by Toni . The more I think about it the worse it feels. My longing for him has reached it's max . I have no patience or tolerance  on anything. I have officially lost it and can't comprehend what's next in store for me.

Alice: Betty sweetheart

My mother said knocking on my door as I sadly glanced her way

Betty: yeah mom?

Alice: it's 3:34 we should probably get going

Betty: what if this is all for nothing? We're just gonna be fools and I'm gonna have to be a single mother

Alice: Betty don't think like that okay, You called the sheriff this morning and we've got a plan

Betty sighs

Betty: still Toni is sneaky

Alice: I used to know her mother so I got this now get yourself ready to go

I pushed myself off the bed and threw on some clothes. Then slipped on my shoes

Betty:okay mom let's go

I said till I saw she  was holding a long metal tube

Betty:uh... mom? why are you holding that?

Alice:oh this is for plan B

Betty: mom.... I don't want you to go to prison

Alice: oh relax Betty it'll just  knock out them in a deep nap

I looked at my  mother who was being her usual illusional self and sighed only nodding then we leave

I walked steathly behind my mother. Meeting Toni back where she said to.  My hands started to shake as I saw her

Toni:  Alice Cooper wow your a lot diffrent then what I thought you were

Alice: this is Toni?

Toni:nooo I'm the barista at the coffee shop! uhhh YES I'M TONI FREAKING TOPAZ!

Alice: this is who your afraid of Betty? she's pathetic

Toni: my mother warned me about you Alice

Alice: her mother is such a terrible name picker

my mother muttered as Toni literally looked like she wanted to burst like a popped ballon

Toni: ENOUGH! I didn't invite you here to play tea party and talk !

Betty: then why did you?

Toni: Alice you ruined my mother and now you will pay for it

Alice: she deserved what she got cause she was crazy and no one liked her anyways she was always talking about her stupid boyfriend

Toni snarled clenching her fists

Toni: follow me

I saw Toni walk and swallowed a lump in my throat fearing what was coming next dragging my feet

As I followed her she speed off.  My mom followed behind me till I heard a snap and then a scream turning to see my mother tied up and a snake sizzling underneath her.  Sssssssssssss.  The snake hisses with it's slippery tongue causing me to  jump.

Toni laughed and I flared my mouth in anger

Toni: whoops... sorry

Betty:let my mom go! and where's Jug?

Toni: oh somewhere around

Betty: we had a deal so hand him over!

I had very minimal patience for this chick feeling exasperated and grinding my toes into the soles of my shoes

Toni: if you want him then  you have to go find him

Betty: fine

I treaded my shoes into the concrete ground

Betty: mom stay here I'll be back for you

I left quickly and walked off looking for Jughead
