Dark Paths (Bughead)

Chapter 13

1 1/2 hours later when Archie arrives back at the hospital with a black eye and blood on the side of his hand

Veronica: Archie?!?!  What Happended!?!?!

Archie: let's just say the serpents are very overprotective of Jughead

Betty: what did you tell him?

Archie: that's he's an ass

Betty: so he knows I'm ....pregnant

Archie: yeah and I think it scared him

Betty's eyes filled

Betty: great, so now he knows and yet he is still with the serpents

Betty let her tears flow

Archie: he ran off

Betty kept crying

Betty: I just wanna be alone now

Veronica: we'll be  right outside if you need us

Varchie leave Betty's room

Betty took her pillow and screamed into it, when she lifted up her face from her pillow she kept crying. Why? Why couldn't Jughead pick me this time?  Betty thought as all she wanted was to be held in Jughead's arms but he didn't pick her yet..Again

Outside...

Veronica: Betty's crushed

Polly: wait. Is Jughead the father?

Archie: yeah and I went to go tell him and afterwards he ran off

Alice got up from her chair

Alice:I'm gonna go talk to her

Alice walks into Betty's room

Betty looked at the doorway where her mom was and wiped away her tears

Alice: hey sweetie

Betty: hi mom

She said trying to hold back more tears

Alice: how are you feeling?

Betty: I'm okay

Betty looked down

Alice: look I'm disappointed in you Betty but I'm not going to make the same mistakes I did with Polly with you

Betty kept her head down as tears streamed down her face

Betty: T... Thanks mom

Alice went over to her youngest daughter and hugged her dearingly

Alice: I've always wanted more for you and Polly but it just comes to show I'm a terrible mother and I hope you make a better one then me

Betty hugged her mother back

Betty: your not a bad mom

Alice: yes I am Betty, I let both of my daughter's become teen moms

Betty: yeah but that's also my fault

She thought of her and Jughead

Betty: I just wish Jughead was here with me

Alice: where did he go anyway?

Betty: I have no idea , Archie said that after he told Jughead I'm pregnant that Jughead ran off

Alice: well give him some time Betty, he needs time to think about this as much as you do

Betty: yeah but he could at least call or text me instead of leaving me to wonder if he even wants the baby
