Chapter 39 (part 2)

I rushed out of the house once I have satisfied my need to punch the crap out of my cheating ex-boyfriend and went on to find Taehyung.

"Taehyung!" I shouted for him but to no avail, there was no reply. I went to the backyard but he wasn't there as well.

I went to look for him in the car but he wasn't there too.

"Taehyung!"

Where on Earth could this guy be.

"Taehyung!"

I searched the area but I still couldn't find him. I sat on one of the cobbled pathways and scratched my head. His car is still here, he couldn't have gone that far.

As I was busy being in my thoughts, from afar, I suddenly saw a black shadow lying on the road. It looked like someone dumped a body they had just stabbed onto the road.

That thought gave me chills. The cold breeze isn't helping either. I've seen horror movies where the body suddenly wriggle back to life and hunt the person who saw it first and this is exactly what the scene looks like.

I got up and mustered the courage to get a clearer look at the shadow. It could be guitar in its bag that kind of fell from a speeding vehicle.

Or it could be just a bundle of metal rods for the construction site that a few workers don't have the strenght to carry and leave it there.

But as I approached it closer, I started to see it clearer. My heartbeat fastened vigorously as I could see the shape of it. And it became worse when I can finally get a grip of what it might be.

"No," I whispered to myself when I can finally make out what it is.

"No, no, no," I started sobbing when it is clear to me what it is. I clutched my chest to try to calm myself down but the pain won't go away.

Taehyung was lying on the road, with a pool of blood rushing out of his head.
