Reese's pov

I called Brie because I just needed to hear her voice.

She sounded so sad.

I just wanted to hold her right now.

She thought I was only being nice because I was her boss.

I needed her to know it was more than that.

"I didn't do it because I'm your boss. You deserve so much better. I just wish well things could be different."

"So, do I."

She wishes we could be together?

"Why can't things be different?" I asked.

"Because I can't risk your job."

So that's the only thing stopping her.

"We could keep our professional life just that, but still be together."

"How is that even possible?"

"We spend our time together away from campus."

She got quiet and that worried me.

Did I go too far?

"I would be willing to try. I just don't want to ruin your career or my schooling." She said.

"I would never allow that to happen."

"Ok then how do we do this?"

"Well Brie would you like to go on a date with me?"

"I'd love to."

"Okay then since we have classes tomorrow how about Friday night we go out of town and see a movie?"

"I think that sounds good."

"Okay now get some sleep and I will see you tomorrow in class."

"Good night Reese and thank you for everything."

I meant what I said I wouldn't let our relationship mess up her schooling.

I would quit my job before I ever let that happen.

I tried staying away from Brie.

I tried keeping this professional, but I just can't stay away.

I needed to see if what I felt was real.

I just hoped we could separate our relationship from work.

I sounded more confident then I was.

We would make this work.

Brie was worth this.

I would do everything to make it work.
