Brie's pov

A year later

I decided I needed a change and ended up moving.

I am now in a new state and a new school.

I even changed my last name to my mom's maiden name because I didn't want to be known as the girl that dated her professor.

I wanted a new start.

Reese was just a distant mistake from my past.

I was finally over him and happy.

I have even started to date again.

I was focused on my school and living my life.

I let a guy ruin me once.

I won't let that ever happen again.

I lived close to my family and it was nice having their support.

I never told them what happened just that I was homesick.

I started to hang out with friends.

I was acting my own age.

I didn't have to hide away like I did with Reese.

Me and my friends were going to a club opening tonight that was two towns over.

I wasn't a club type of girl, but I promised I'd go.

It sounded like fun.

We went all out getting complete makeovers.

I didn't even look myself.

I got into the limo my friend rented and headed to this club.

Tonight, I was going to let go and have some fun.

I deserved it.

I was with my friends so tonight I was going to live it up.

Tonight, would be a night we would never forget.

We pulled up in front of the club and it was packed.

I started to freak when I saw the long line.

I was all dressed up and I doubted we were even going to be able to get in.

So much for having an epic night.

My friends told me stop worrying.

We got out of the limo walked up to the door gave them our names and walked right in.

People kept giving us dirty looks.

I guess my friends had this all set up.

We were shown up to a VIP area.

I could get used to this special treatment.
