Brie's pov

I was so nervous.

Tonight, I was going on my first date with Reese.

I was scared we would be seen together.

He assured me that everything would be fine.

I wanted to believe him.

I just knew how these things worked.

They never ended well.

Yet, I wanted to be with Reese knowing this.

Maybe we were strong enough to overcome everything that would be thrown at us.

I changed outfits five times that's how nervous I was.

I finally found something I thought I looked good in when there was a knock at my door.

Leave it to Reese to actually be early.

I hurried to answer the door.

Seeing Reese at my door looking so sexy just blown me away.

"Hello beautiful these are for you."

He handed me a bouquet of beautiful flowers.

He was so sweet.

"Let me go put these in some water and then we can go."

Once the flowers were in a vase and on my table I grabbed my purse and met Reese in the car.

I didn't want people to see me walking out with him and getting in his car.

He didn't like this at all.

He said I didn't deserve to be hidden away.

But this is how it has to be for now.

I wouldn't allow him to ruin his career.

We drove for what felt like forever.

There was no way anyone would know us way out here.

He stopped and picked up some food then we were driving again.

Then he pulled in to a parking lot and grabbed everything along with a blanket.

I wondered where we were.

"Exactly where are we."

"I thought we could have a picnic by the lake. No one else around so we don't have to be stressed and keep looking over our shoulder."

He had a great idea.

This was a perfect first date.

We talked about everything.

The food was amazing.

Now we were just sitting here cuddling and watching the waves.

"This has been a perfect night."

"I'm glad you agreed to come with me. So, is it too soon to ask for another date?"

"Of course, I'll go on another date with you."

He pulled me into a kiss that took my breath away.

It started out so innocent then quickly heated up.

I ended up on top of him and we kept kissing.

I wanted him like I've never wanted anything or anyone before.
