Brie's pov

I looked over and could have sworn I saw Reese.

That's just crazy.

What would he be doing here?

My life was finally going better after he broke my heart, and now here he was.

What was he doing here so close to my hometown?

Was he here to find me?

I decided to just ask him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"This is my club I am here for the opening. Why are you here?

His club.

How did I end up in the one club he owns?

"I live close to here and I am here with friends. Look I need to go now that I know it's your club I will leave."

I started to walk off when he gently grabbed my arm.

I just stood there looking at the man I let ruin my life.

"Stay have fun I was just about to go. You look really good Brie. Take care of yourself."

"Are you serious right now? Why are you even opening a club wouldn't the school look down on you doing something like this?"

"I resigned from that place and just haven't went back to teaching."

I left the school and now he's not even there.

Why would he quit teaching?

That was everything to him.

He broke my heart for his career.

"Why would you do that?"

"I couldn't be there anymore not after what I did to you."

"Don't use me as an excuse."

"This is not what I am trying to do. Have a good night Brie."

"You do not get the last word not this time."

"What do you want me to say Brie? That my life is nothing without you? That I made a huge mistake? That I'm sorry?"

I didn't know what to say.

I was a mess.

I loved him so much.

I moved on.

I was happy.

Why did I have to see him again?
