Brie's pov

My friends came over to find out why I left last night.

They were not happy when I told them I left with Reese.

When I came back home I reconnected with some of my friends from high school.

They saw how bad off I was.

Now they are scared that I'll get hurt again.

I tried to explain everything to them.

They thought it was sick that he was my professor and went for me.

I guess no one seems to understand.

I loved him.

I know they are just looking out for me and I appreciate that.

I will be careful this time.

I wasn't the same girl I was then.

I know how painful heartache can be.

I wasn't going to let that happen again.

I think Reese has also changed.

He seems so lost now.

I wondered if he got the teaching job.

I can't believe he even left, but a part of me is glad he did.

I'm glad he's here.

I want this second chance with him.

I'm glad my friends have my back and care about me so much.

At the end of the day it's my life and I need to try.

It's crazy because I miss him already.

How did I survive this year without him?

Now that I have agreed to try again all I can think about is him.
