"My dad's looking for me." I sighed, as I checked my phone, it had been a while sine Lucy ran back and I had been waiting with him.

Greg nodded, looking a little detached. "Okay, I'm ready."

"Are you sure?" I inquired.

"I have to face them at one point." He nodded.

We started walking, halfway there Greg grabbed my hand. I didn't say anything, I just let him.

It didn't take very long for us to run into his dad. The man turned, spotted us, then put down his drink and immediately surged towards us.

"Were you telling Lucy that nonsense again?" He demanded.

Greg didn't answer. He stared at his feet. I could feel the anxiety pressure on my chest, but it wasn't intense enough to bring me into a panic attack. I was going to keep it together, for Greg.

"Look up at me Georgia." He ordered.

"That's not my name." Greg said quietly.

"What did you just say?"

Greg looked up, and stared his dad straight in the eye. "Dad, I have something to tell you."

"What?" He seemed angry.

"I'm gay." Greg gasped out.

Mr. Smith eyed me. "You can't be gay if you're dating a boy."

Greg's fingers clenched around mine. "I'm transgender, I'm a boy."

Mr. Smith's teeth clenched. "No you're not, because you have a girls body."

"That doesn't matter, gender identity and biological sex aren't the same thing." Greg spat back.

"You are a stupid little girl!" He yelled, people's heads were turning.

I spotted my dad as he glanced over, obviously confused. I internally cringed, I didn't want him to see this.

"I'm a boy. I'm gay and I'm in love with another boy. Micah is my soulmate and I love him." Greg screamed back.

His father raised his hand, and Gred winced. I gasped, he had hit Greg before. Greg's on dad had hit him. He has hurt my boyfriend. I stepped in front of Gregory.

"You keep your hands off my boyfriend." I almost hissed.

"Micah?" My dad asked, coming closer. "What's going on?"

"Your son's probably the one who put these ideas into my little girl's brain." Mr. Smith accused, pointing at him.

My dad stood there, confused for a moment. He laid eyes on me, saw we were holding hands, then noticed the faint glow from my chest. I watched him put two and two together.

"All I see is my son and his boyfriend, sir." He said slowly.

I wanted to leap forward and hug my dad for saying that. My heart swelled with pride. I gave him a thumbs up and he nodded.

Mr. Smith reeled, he looked extremely offended. His brow was furrowed in disgust and hatred.

"Get off my property you freaks." He spat, yanking me away from Greg. "Georgia, go to your room."

"You can't force me back into the closet. I refuse to stay here until you acknowledge me as your son." Greg snarled, as he reached for me.

Mr. Smith paused, then pushed Greg to the ground. "Then don't stay here."
