we were star gazing tonight and i tried to start a conversation, throwing in a few jokes here and there.
you didn't say much. a few laughs and wavering smiles came from you.
"are you alright?" you shifted uncomfortably and smiled at me, perking up like a puppy excited to see their owner.
"are you happy?" you asked. cautiously i nodded before pecking your lips.
"yeah, i'm alright." your gaze went back to the stars, and the lively position you had before slumped down.
i didn't question it.
