Hooded Phantom Rebirth

Season 1: Episode 16

Joseph's POV

I finally took care of the bears and looked at my watch. It's 6:08. "Hm...... I wonder what Anna's doing. Maybe I'll head to her house for a bit," I said as I powered down. I started walking on the side of the road for a few minutes until my watch went off when I walked close to a abandoned facility. I look at Scales, who came out of the watch, and asked him, "Can you still fight?" He nodded and so I ran in, but not before powering up. I looked around. There didn't seemed to be much inside. Just dust and some very old wooden crates. In fact, it didn't seem like anyone has been here for a long time. So why did my watch go off? Did I enter the wrong place?

I took a step forward before a familiar cross bow arrow crosses path with me and lands in front of me. I instantly looked up and saw Cobra, with what seemed to be Huntress' s crossbow in one hand and a silver pocket watch in the other.  "Right on time, I guess," he said, closing it and putting it in his pocket. I frown under my mask. "What are you doing here Cobra?" I asked seriouly. "Can't you lighten up?" He asked as he jump of the top floor, lands in a crouching positions and the getting up. That's when I realized he hand something on his back. "When I'm in the job, it depends," I said crossing my arms. "Well, I'd like to congratulate you for surviving that bear attack," he said. "Tch, to be honest it was unbearable but-," that's when I realized something. "Wait a minute. Were you the one that-" I said before I get interrupted. "Ain't it obvious. But that's just scratching the surface. Imagine what it can do to humans. Think about it, an army full of enhanced soldiers all on our command," he said.

I look at him. Pressing my teeth together in frustration, I start charging at him. I got close to him, but just as I did, he blocks my strike and injects some kind of yellowish serum on my chest. I step back a bit as I whinced for a moment. "What the hell was that?" I said as my vision got blurry. He chuckles. "Its called posion. Lets see how your body deals with it," he said. "You bastard!" I said, running towards him. Just as I get a few feet from him, he quickly grabs what's on his back and slashes it with me. I get sliced right beside my stomach. I stop for a second, holding onto the wound. I then look at him and get a better look at what sliced me.

"Ain't she a beauty," he says, sliding his fingers on the blade. "This is what I'm gonna use to kill you," he said pointing it at my direction. I frown and run towards him once more, trying to land a couple of punches, but not before trying my best to dodge his strikes. I manage to dodge some, however the poison was making me sloppy as I get struck by his blade a few times.

He suddenly kicked my leg, making me fall on one knee, and raised his blade closed to my neck. He sighs. "Ya know, you're lucky. I'm still giving you more chances to work with me. I mean, I would've killed the person the first or second time if I'd had to ask them again. But you........ you and I are one of the same. I mean, don't tell me you can't feel that 'special' connection between us. Cause I do," he said. "Now let me ask you this again. Will you join me?" He asked again.

I look at him and said. "Go fuck yourself."

He sighs. "Wrong answer," he said before raising his blade. But before he could lower it, a mysterious arrow hits the side of Cobra's shoulder, leaving him distracted. I look at the figure. He seemed to have a compound bow and a symbol I've never seen before.

I managed to snap out of it and quickly took the chance and used my last bit of power to disappear out of there. Which is pretty tough with posion in your system.

I appeared on the roof of a building. I remembered the area and that it was close to Annaliz's house. I tried with every last piece of strength I had to get there. I just hope I make it before the poison gets me.
