Annaliz's POV

I stretched my arms and smiled. "We've been going at it for a while, stopping bad guys for a year now. It's starting to get almost too easy," I said letting myself relax. "Yeah, but don't get too comfortable. They won't all be a easy win," said Davila.

"He's right. You don't know when the next crisis will happen," said Daniel coming out of one of the rooms in the lab. Now if you don't remember, Joseph managed to get to Daniel to come to his senses and gave him a chance. And he took it. A year has passed and he's actually been a major help to us.

That's when we all heard Erik coming. He entered the lab with his green Teen center shirt and some navy blue jeans, not to mention something at hand. "Here you go Davila. Merry Christmas," said Erik giving the rifle to Davila. Davila started taking a closer look at it. "Man, this baby's got everything. In fact, I don't think the military even has this tech yet," stated Davila, in amazement. I started looking around. "Hey Erik, did Joseph come with you by any chance?" I asked. "Um, no. He said he needed to go somewhere. Though I'm not sure where he could be," Erik said, munching on his energy bar. It took me a second to realize where he was. I sighed. "I think I have an idea," I said.

Joseph's POV

I stood there, with my tux, staring down at two, very familiar tombstones.

Angel Manuel Espinosa Diaz

A good husband and friend. But most of all, a good father.

Bermarie Rodriguez Munoz

1984- April 14, 2016

An inspiring and beautiful woman. One who cared for her family.

I look at both of they're graves. I looked at the Tulipans I had in my hand. I started to crouch down to the floor. I sighed. "Hey mom, dad. It's been a while since I last visited. And I'm sorry about that. It's just been crazy these past few months and I never got the chance to visit you again," I said as I looked at my watch.

"I miss you. Now I know that I said that like a thousand times now, but it's true. I miss the way you cook, I miss our family game night, I miss our adventures we had and the trips we had. I miss the movies we've watch and the memories we've had. But most of all, I miss all the love and affection that you have given me every day. That is what I cherish the most," I continued, feeling a few tears coming out. I begin to wipe the tears off.

"I remember you telling me that, 'life wasn't gonna be easy. You'll always have obsticals and hardships follow you, but what you do to overcome them is what will shape up your destiny. And that no matter what, you'll always be proud of who I would've become.' Yeah, I still remember those words. In fact, those words are what got me this far in life, and I'm glad for it," I said, letting a slight smile grow on my face. I put the Tulipans into the flower pot between both of their graves. I stood up and looked at the tombstone one last time.

"How long were you standing there?" I said, know that Annaliz was standing right behind me. "For a while now," she said. I turned towards her. "How did you know where to find me?" I asked. "I just knew you'd be here. Especially seeing as today was the day of your parent's passing," she explained. "Figures," I said putting my hands inside my pockets. "Are you gonna be okay?" She asked taking a few steps forward, with a concerned look. I walked towards her, giving her a hug and whispered in her ear, "I will be." Annaliz smiled as she hugged back. "I'm glad," she said. We hugged for a few moments until I decided to let go. "Come on. Let's go to Starbuck. It'll be my treat," I said putting my hand around her. She smiled as she nodded. And just like that, we started to walk out the cemetery.

Little did we know that a figure was stalking us from behind a dead tree, with a sinister plan.
