You and Evan were sitting on a bench at the park. It was the weekend, and he had promised to spend sometime with you outdoors after the past couple of crazy days. It was quite peaceful today, and you liked how quiet it was.

You looked over at Evan. He was surprisingly quiet. "What're you thinking about?" You asked him.

"Just..stuff." He responded vaguely.

You raised your eyebrows, amused. "Very specific." You responded.

He wasn't wavered by your comment and kept staring off into the distance, keeping quiet. You nudged him. "You okay?"

He shook his head as if he were getting up out of a trance. "Yeah, sorry, just got kinda carried away by...my thoughts."

You sensed that something was wrong, but you don't want to stress him out any more, so you just smiled and wrapped your arm around him. He kissed your forehead and stood up. "I'm gonna go get some coffee," he said, gesturing to the coffee stand about twenty yards away. "Anything you want?"

You waved him off. "Nah, I'm fine." He shrugged and walked over to go to the coffee stand.

You closed you eyes for a minute, taking in everything around you. When you finally opened them, you saw someone standing in front of you.

"Jared." You addressed the other teen.

He looked down at you. "Where's the boyfriend?" He asked.

You tilted your head. "Getting coffee. Want some?" You responded.

He pursed his lips and shook his head. "Mind if I sit?" He asked.

"I don't see why not." You said. He sat down next to you and stared ahead, not looking at you. "So, how have you been?" You asked him.

"Been better." He replied. "And you?"

"Good, pretty good." He turned his head and looked at you. "Is it a coincidence that you're at the park the same day and time that Evan and I are here?" You asked him.

He was quiet for a second, but suddenly exploded. "How can you deal with him, Y/N? After all the shit that he put us through? How can you just pretend that everything's gone back to normal, when it hasn't? If people find out about this, we're screwed! And I know what you're gonna say, 'forgive and forget', but how can you do that?"

Surprisingly, you were able to keep calm and find an answer. "Jared, all that you have to do is just open your hea-"

Jared groaned. "For fuck's sake, Y/N. I don't want a fucking sermon. You know what? Forget it." He stood up and was going to say more, but quickly shut his mouth. Because standing behind you was Evan.

"Jared...?" He asked. "What are you talking about?"

A/N: Jesus Christ, it's been long. Sorry 'bout the wait, I had finals and regents and other annoying shit. But I'll try to get in as many updates as I can during vacation.
