I spent half the night trying to sleep, my mind kept racing, each time I managed to nod off, I'd wake up startled and hot. My morning alarm sounded at half 6, I'd managed about an hour and a half. I jumped into the shower and brushed my teeth before the others got up. Put my books into my school bag and went downstairs. May-Li was back today.
"Morning Ryan, you okay?....you look tired." May-Li said. "Yeah, I'm fine," I sighed shrugging it off, I'm beyond tired, everything about me is tired, my eyes, my body, my brain, everything. I grabbed my lunch and some toast and left for school. It was only 7:45am,
I was really early today. I arrived at school at 8:10am and went to the LRC as usual, only today was different; I had some research to do. Not for school, God no! But to find out how to get a permanent memorial for my Mum. I Googled it first of all, oh, now I know what I have to do, but memorials themselves are just so expensive. I feel worse now than I did before....just feel a complete failure to be honest.
I arrived at form, the register was complete and so was form assembly which we had every Monday. Now for Science, again. Monday's Science was usually fun though, we have Mr Bamford, well usually, but today he's poorly so we have......yep you guessed it, Warrilow. I'm so not in the mood for him today. I took a deep breath before entering in an attempt to calm myself.
The lesson started by having to write down the instructions for the experiment we were going to do. I scribbled it down in my book, and rested my head on the desk whilst I waited for the rest of the class to finish.
"REEVES," Warrilow shouted,
"that's me" I said,
"REEVES are you daydreaming in MY CLASS?" he yelled at me.
"No Sir, actually I was sleeping in your class!" I retorted
"REEVES" he yelled again, I'm gonna really wind him up today, I thought. I put my head back down on the desk.
"REEVES, Enough!" He shouted,
"Enough what Sir?" I smirked.
"I've had enough of you REEVES, LEAVE NOW!!!!" Warrilow instructed. He was quite red in the face, so I started to scrape my stool across the floor as I got off it, adamant that I would cause as much disruption to his class as possible.
"REEVES, Why are you still in MY Classroom, I told you to go!" I smirked again,
"Go where Sir, you didn't actually explain where you wanted me to go Sir" his eyes bulged now "MR WILLIAMSONS OFFICE NOW!!!" I swung my bag onto my shoulder, knocking glass cylinders off the side. "Whoops." I said with a grin. "
You did that DELIBERATELY REEVES, now leave this instant!" I scowled back at him, I turned to the apparatus, I swiped it all off the side, turned to Warrilow and said "That was deliberate Sir!" and calmly walked out of the room. I hid in the corridor as he paced looking for me. Once I heard the door closed, I smirked and slowly walked to the office.
Mrs Jennings the office manager stood in the glass window, "Ryan, What can I do for you?" she enquired.
"Mr Williamson in?" I asked.
"Why?" she asked suspiciously.
"oh, nothing, just Mr Warrilow asked me to pay him a visit, that's all." I said matter of fact. Her face was a picture! She stood with her mouth open, face aghast.
Mr Williamson came out of his office, he was clearly not happy. "Come in Ryan" I just dropped my bag and casually sat on the chair.
