Chapter 8
I woke up in the hospital. I don't know how long it had been since I saw Finns body fly out the window. It was horrifying. I was worried what happened to him. My eyes open widely.
"Where's Finn?" I ask the doctor, who is standing beside me, writing something down on her clipboard.
"He is in the room next door to you" the doctor replies.
"Is he okay?"
"He is fine, a few broken bones, he's a tough kid."
I am filled with relief. I was scared to death that something severe happened to Finn. He is so important to me right now, we've only known each other for a few days, but it feels like forever.
I close my eyes, and fall back into lala land. Aka a deep sleep.

Not knowing how long it had been, I open my eyes, awakening from my deep sleep.
"Hey sweetie, how are you doing?" I hear a familiar voice say to me.
"Mom!" I announce, my voice is loud.
"Shhhh, you've been sleeping for a couple days. You got a concussion from the impact of the car. If you are tired, sleep." My mom tells me. "Do you need anything? I brought you a bag of your clothes, just in case"
"It's okay, I'm good." I reply, rubbing my eyes. "When are we going home?"
"Today, unless you feel like you could use another night."
"Can we go now?" I ask.
"Yes, let me inform the doctor." Mom says, getting up from the blue hospital chair.
I wanted to see Finn. I wanted to really bad. I wanted to know if he was alright.
Within a few minutes, my mom comes back, carter in her arms.
"Let's go" she says, her voice soft and quiet.
I grab a pair of spandex from the bag (my mom knows me well) and slip them on so nothing is too revealing.
"Mom?" I say, spacing off. "Can we go visit Finn?"
"Yea" her voice still quiet.
We get up. I don't care that I'm still in a hospital gown. I am ahead of my mom within seconds. I need to see Finn.
I walked down the long, dim hallway while my mom trailed behind me. I realized I had no idea where Finns room is, so I wait for my mom at a corner with lots of windows.
When mom finally catches up, I ask her where it is. The only reason why she knew, was cause she met Finns dad in the waiting room.
Saying nothing, I followed her until we got to a door. I open it, fearful of what I might see. I walk in and see him. Finns eyes are open, but he is in many casts. He looks over at me, his eyes widening.
"Ashley" Finn greets me, his voice is deep, but you can sense happy in his voice.
"Finn, I'm so sorry" I apologize.
"Don't be, I'm the dumb one who forgot his seatbelt and wasn't paying attention to the road.
"You're not dumb, I was just so worried about you when I woke up here" I reply.
He grins. I know he's smiling past the great amount of pain he is in. Finn closes his eyes, I know he's kinda loopy from all of the medication.
I walk out, my mom was in the hall.
She smiles at me, we don't say anything and we just walk. We don't even say a word until we get to the car.
"How was he?" Mom asked me, right as she sat in the drivers sets after putting Carter in his car seat.
"Finn? He was doing good, he's really strong. A few broken bones but he's alright" I answer, identifying my hospital bracelet.
"That's good." She answers. She puts the keys into the ignition and pulls out of the parking lot.
When we get back to the house, it smelled and looked dead. It was as if someone wasn't here for several days. I immediately ran up to my room, and to my surprise, I find Abby and Sierra.
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask, smiling. I'm actually really happy to see them.
"To see you of course!" Sierra says. Abby and Sierra both get up to hug me. I squeeze them tight.
"Thanks so much, I love you guys" I look at them. I look horrible.
Unbrushed hair and a white hospital gown. Hot.
"Your mom said it's okay if we stay the night" Abby informs me, sitting back down on my beanbag.
"Yea! That's awesome!" I let them know. They are truly the best friends. "I know it's only 10, but I'm really tired. Can we get to sleep?"
They both nod, they are already in their pajamas, and we all basically just crash.
