Chapter 33:
After he day that Finn told me he wanted to start a family, we had never really mentioned it afterwards. It became awkward some times, neither of us knew how to bring it up. Or even what to think of it.
After a few days, Sierra broke up with the guy who she slept with, and I still didn't know the name. So in my mind, I called him Mystery Guy.
Abby and I walked through the door of my apartment, and there we saw Finn and one of his coworkers, Danny. I had gotten to know Danny, I met him not too long ago. We are friends. But Abby's jaw basically dropped when she saw him.
I grab her wrist and pull her into the hallway, down to the room. It's the extra room Finn and I have, the one with the desk and a big, bright red couch that we have no idea what to do with.
"Who was that?" Abby says, she looks like she's about to droll.
"Danny, Finns coworker." I respond, shrugging.
"He's really hot" she gushes. Abby smiles and looks at the ground.
"Well he's single"
That gets Abby's attention. She gets up, and goes through the door and down the hall. I see her make a right, which is where the kitchen and the dining room are. Where Finn and Danny are.
I get myself off the spinny chair, and see what Abby is doing. She is leaned up against the counter, and fake texting. I look down to hide the grin on my face, and trying not to laugh.
Then Danny looks up. Him and her make eye contact, he let's out a breathe and chuckles a little.
"What?" Finn asks, annoyed.
"Nothing, it's nothing" Danny replies, he writes something down on the canvas that was placed in front of him and Finn.
Then, Abby makes her move. She goes straight up to the table, and I follow slowly behind her. She looks right at Danny.
"Ashley, introduce me!" Abby proudly announces. This is embarrassing.
"I'm Danny" Danny replies, before I can even make it to the table. The both have flirty smirks across their faces.
"I'm Abby" she says back. Abby takes a small strand of hair and starts playing with it.
After a moment of eye contact, Danny looks down, and grabs a post it note. I see him scribbling down a few numbers. Oh no. He takes the note and peels it off the pack. He hands it to Abby who is gushing.
"Here" Danny hands her the slip of paper. "Text me"
Abby smiles and turns around, putting the piece of paper in her back pocket.
Now she's dragging me into the room. Once we get there, she's fangirling.
"Did you see him? We made eye contact for like five minutes!" I didn't want to interrupt her excitement.
"Yeah!" I agree, which I don't.
"I felt electricity between me, the paper and him!" Now it's getting weird. But again, I'm a good friend. I'm not going to ruin her happiness.
I nod and smile. There's nothing to say at this point. She's just head over heels.

Later, after Abby and Danny had left, Finn and I were laying in bed. We were both wide awake, his arm around me. I finally put an end to the awkward.
"So about the family?" I inquire. I can't deal with the thought anymore.
"You think it's a lame idea" Finn looks at me.
"No, I think it would be amazing actually." I sound really convincing. I mean it would be amazing, but am I ready?
"Really?" He seems surprised.
I nod.
