Chapter 16:
A month passed, slow as could be. I was a different person at school, shy and quiet. People became, or seemed like they were afraid of me. No one was really open to talk to me. I would push them away, not on purpose of course, but because I'm not used to having my mom not here. She would always help me if there was a problem. If I needed someone to talk to. But I've got Sierra and Abby. I still talk to Zara from the support group too.
Now, it's June 2nd. Graduation day. Finn was gonna be there too. His cast is off, and he's a lot better from the car crash that happened in April.
"Ashley, it's graduation, it's your night. Then we are going to Bennett Fosters after party at his house." Abby said, smiling. We went to Sierras house to get ready for graduation. And she was helping me curl my hair.
"Abbs is right, tonight is your night. It's graduation, after this, freedom." Sierra added, spraying my hair with hairspray. Maybe they were right. The accident was two months ago. I should really get over it already.
"You know what guys, you're right" I turned in the spinning chair, facing them. "Tonight is our night. Let's make memories!" We then cheered in excitement.
"We should get going." Sierra informs up, picking up her clutch. Abby and I agree, and get up. We walk down Sierras fancy stairs, and she tells her parents we are leaving. Then, we go to Sierras jeep, and we head for the school.

Standing up on the bleachers was hard. Considering I was in heels and an inch away from literally everyone.
"And now for the graduating class or 2014!" The principal announced. The audience clapped, and the music started playing. I looked over at Abby who was about 10 people away from me. I mouthed the words "I can't believe this is it." And she nodded.
Since my last name is Taylor, quite a few people were before me when they called the names. Which didn't really matter to me.
"Abby Jones" the principal spoke Abby's name. Abby smiled and waved as she walk down from the fourth row of the bleachers.
She went up to the microphone and said:
"I am still in shock that today is the day I graduate. Thank you, for 4 amazing years!"
The audience clapped and Abby walked down to her parents and gave them a hug, then went to the group of kids standing by the door (where you were supposed to go after that)
"Ashley Taylor" the principal said into the microphone. I was spacing out so I jumped when I heard my name. I walked down the bleachers and got my certificate.
"It's hard to believe that today is the day I graduate from high school. I've come so far from freshman year. Thank you Del Norte High School!!"
I went and gave my grandparents and Finn a hug, then I went over next to Abby.
"Sierra Walters" the principal said.
Sierra walked down and took her certificate, went to the microphone and said:
"Nothing less, thank you so much for an amazing education."
Sierra skipped hugging her parents and went next to me and Abby. We hugged her and were whispering to each other.

After the ceremony was over, we decided to go to Bennett's party.
"Damn he has a big house" Abby said, gazing at the house.
Abby, Sierra, Finn and I could hear music from outside, and the rows of cars that were parked was crazy. We could barely find a spot to park in fact.
When we walked in, there was tons of people, alcohol and chaos. Which Abby loved. She was all about the gossip and drama. Abby went and got a drink immediately, and Sierra found one of her friends from speech and debate sitting on the stairs. So me and Finn were left alone.
I grabbed Finns wrist, and we went to go get a drink in the red solo cups.
"Thank you for coming" I thanked Finn, feeling embarrassed cause he's already had this experience.
"are you kidding? I'm happy to be here with you!" He said, talking loud only cause we had the #selfie song playing.
Which no one really liked anyway.
The party went on, and I found myself drinking a ton. I got really drunk. And me? Drunk? Not pretty.
"FiiiIIIIIiiiiiinnnnn!! Come dance with me!!" I called to him, looking and sounding really loopy. Finn, who wasn't drunk, came over to me.
"I think we should go" Finn said, laughing. "You're really drunk"
"I knOOOOOooooooOOOOOooow" I started twerking. That's embarrassing.
Finn left and found Abby and Sierra, Abby was a little tipsy, but not bad. Sierra doesn't drink. She's too goody goody.
They all came over to me and Finn picked me up and went carried me to the car, and Abby and Sierra followed. We were all gonna go back to mine and Finns place.
I don't remember much of that night, but I had a ton of fun.
