Chapter 39

"You're kidding me, Finn" I say, anger firing up inside. I sit up."I'm sorry, it's just what we talked about som-" Finn manages to get out before I cut him off.

"That was never planned!"

"I'm sorry, Ashley." He tries to apologize.

"I'm going to go upstairs, to sleep. Please, don't follow me." I demand, getting up and going to the stairwell.

"Okay" Finn sighs.

I run up the stairs, as fast as I can. I turn left into my makeshift bedroom. I flop on the bed. I pull myself under the blankets, covering my face and all. Call me a child, but it's what I did. I don't remember how long I lay there awake, but I know it was a long time.

The next morning, I woke up to Allie and Abby. They were next to my bed, practically screaming my name. They were dressed, and they looked ready. I jumped up as soon as I caught a glimpse of them.

"What time is it?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. I had a headache.

"It's three." Abby replies, in a soft, mellow voice. Am I dreaming?

"Okay" I get up, and almost trip, on the air that is. Allie catches me by the arm.

"We will let you get dressed and stuff" Allie says, going to the doorway. Abby follows. I nod, and they leave and shut the door.

I grab out a blue romper and a sheer, black cardigan, slip on some flip flops and grab a pair of aviator sunglasses, putting them on top of my head. I pick up my bags and run downstairs, nobody was down there. I open the front door, the car is on and everyone is in, so I run in too.

In silence, Finn starts the car. And without a word, we are gone. Goodbye Pennsylvania.

When everyone is back at their houses, and the car is returned, Finn and I are back home. I'm refusing to talk to him, and he accepts that. I have to say something to him though.

"I'm going to go to CVS and get a pregnancy test. Be back soon." I say, putting my bag over my shoulder. I watch Finn as his eyes are glued to the TV screen. He nods. I leave.

After taking the subway, I enter the CVS. I go to the isle, and grab a cheap box of them. I got quite a few looks from different people, especially the cashier, who was a little old lady.

With the quick trip to CVS, it came along with a lot of thinking. What if this comes out positive? I will not have mine months to improve my life, and I couldn't do that.

When I got home, I ran to the bathroom. I didn't want to wait for results.

I opened the box, unfolding the flaps of the cardboard packaging. I pulled one out. Doing as instructed. I close my eyes as I wait for the result. When I open my eyes, I see it. The moment that could change your life forever. And what I saw, I couldn't believe. The red plus sign.

"FINN!!" I scream, my pants are still pulled down, but I don't care. We are having a baby. Finn runs in, and his eyes widen when he sees me.

"Yeah?" He asks me, a smile started to grow on his tan skin.

"We are having a baby" I admit, I get up and pull my pants above my knees. I then feel tears of joy running down my face. Finn comes in for a hug.

"This is amazing" he says, his voice in awe.

"I know" I cry into his Beatles shirt.

"We have so much preparation" Finn tells me, after we break from the hug.

"You're right" I stop, and in that moment, I realized how fucked up I am. Unknown city, smoker, alcoholic at the age of 18. This isn't what I was supposed to be doing.

"What are we going to name her? What is going to happen?" Finn asks, he walks in a small circle, looking at the ceiling.

"We aren't that far yet" I tell him, smiling and I hug him again. We are going to be parents.

"Yeah" his tone is softer now.

"I have to tell Abby and Allie. Shall I invite them over?" I finally say, sarcastically saying 'shall'.

"tell the world, babe." Finn says, and he comes closer to me, and he kisses the top of my head.

I run out of the bathroom with my phone in hand. I text Allie and Abby in a group conversation.

"Come over. Big news." I text, locking my phone and lay on my bed. I'm having a baby. Ashley Taylor, is having a baby.

"Okay" they both respond in sync.

And in 20 minutes they are here.

I sit them on the couch. Finn and I grab chairs from the dining room table, and sit at them to form a circle around the couch.

"So, guys." I say, finally after we all are settled.

"Yeah?" Abby replies in a soft tons.

"We are having a baby!" I squeal.

"Congrats!" Allie smiles, and a scream is followed by both Abby and Allie.

"Thank you!" I thank, tears forming in my eyes again. Abby and Allie get up, I do too. We all hug. While Finn is sitting there. Awkwardly.

"I can't believe this is happening!" Abby cheeps.

I couldn't believe it either. Finn and Ashley. Parents.

Very unrealistic, short chapter, but Ashley is pregnant! Sadly, this means Falling For Finn coming to an end soon, but just know, I have enjoyed writing this story and thank you for all the love and support ☺️
