Chapter 20:

A few days passed, I started getting used to the city. All the lights, people, skyscrapers. I loved it.

After another day of exploring the city, I went to a gas station right outside the town. There weren't many people, only a few. I put some gas in the car, and decided to go into the convenience store right next to it.

I bought a water bottle and some trail mix and went back outside to find someone trying to break into my car. Not knowing what to do, I slowly approached my car, and the person trying to break in.

"Um, hi, this is my car" I say, smiling. I knew this was gonna be a bad idea.

The man turned around at the speed of lightening. He looked young. Late 20's early 30's. He had a few scratches on his face and he looked ill. He e grabbed me by the front of my shirt, and came really close to my face.

"What are you gonna do about it?" My was scared. My phone was in my purse which I could grab. I was too frightened to scream.

"N-nothing." I didn't know what to do. I could feel tears forming in my eyes but I didn't let them touch my skin. It would show I'm weak.

The man let go of my shirt and pushed me against my car. I was shaking and breathing heavily. He knocked me in the nose with his fist. My eyelids got heavy and I felt powerless.

"Please, stop" I couldn't barely talk. I was out of breathe and I didn't know what to do. It was dark. And that's when he grabbed my neck.

"You are NOT GONNA TELL ME TO STOP!!!" He yelled. I couldn't breathe. I started gasping for air.

"Please" I thought this could've been my last breath of air. I was scared out of my mind.

I started getting light-headed but that didn't stop me from defending myself. I decided to push myself to hurt him in some way. I pushed my back onto the car and managed to get my leg up. I kicked him in the stomach. That made him let go.

After catching my breathe, I decided to kick him in the dick. What else do you do when you are getting beaten by a guy?

When I saw he was unconscious, I decided to get out as quickly as possible. I had to. So I got in my car and drove home. When I got home, it was midnight. Finn had so many questions.
