One last time

One last time.
One more cigarette smoked.
One more kiss stolen.
One more goodbye uttered.
One more one-night stand.
One more scar made.
One more burn inflicted.
One more fight endured.
One more chance given.
One more shot at love.
One more enemy made.
One more leap of faith.
One more pill swallowed.
One more day wasted.
One more night spent sleeplessly.
One more book to read.
One more episode to watch.
One more fix of your drug.
One more drink burning your throat.
  We keep telling ourselves, "one more time, just one last shot. "
  How many 'one more's till it's finally the end? Even in video games it's three lives, after that you start over. You can't just keep lying to others as well as yourself; giving false hope and comfort that this is the last time. You need to face the truth and realise the mistakes you're making. No more 'one last time'. Enough with the false realities. Take a stand and stick to it. Keep your will strong, don't bend yourself, falling to old ways. It's never 'one last time'. It doesn't stop at 'one more'. You need to start saying 'enough'. Open your eyes and stop living in this endless cycle. Believe in yourself because it's not impossible. It's difficult, yes; not unattainable.
