Adam worked away in front of the display, monitoring each and every dimension. When he came across one, he tucked it's display up in a corner and brought two more to fill the screen. He paused and watched the people move about, his emerald gaze locking onto each display when it changed.
"So they have forgotten all that happens to their children when both parents leave... And when a state leaves... It looks like Perisa won't have to wait long for her best friend to come."
He flicked his gaze to rest on the first one he squared away and made a methodical sound.
"Junpei revealed himself to the siblings... And trying to bring Zelda to his side. It looks like he is succeeding, as well. Chloe, please, do whatever you can to convince Preuss to trust you. He's the only one who can keep the family together."
Farther inspection on the three displays showed him another interesting thing.
"Sam, you're discovering your memories? This shouldn't be happening..."
He typed away on his keyboard, accessing the Matrix of the dimension.
"Unlike Reality," Adam smiled, "I can change what you see. You are a cannon character, so your memory blocker should be stronger than Cydnie's. So why is yours so thin this time?"
When he typed in the code to change that, he got an error. He frowned and tried again and again, but the data base would not let him put up a stronger memory barrier.
"Well, then... It appears that I have to do this the manual way," he muttered, heading down a hall. When he arrived at the door he was looking for, he stepped through and looked about for a few moments to check where he was. Once he figured out he was in his home, he went to a special room and extracted a few things before heading to the kitchen and concocting a brew.
No, he was not a mad scientist. But he did know how to suppress memories in a magic free world.
He took the pot off the stove to let it cool before pulling out his phone and calling someone.
After a few rings, they picked up.
"Hello, Professor," a cool voice answered. "It's about time you came out of hiding."
He chuckled. "Yes, yes, but you know me."
"That I do. What did you need this time?"
"Well, I was hoping that I could talk medicine with you. Do you think you could come over this afternoon if you're not busy?"
"I'm sorry, but I'm tutoring someone this afternoon."
"Oh, bring them along. It will only take a few minutes to talk to you, and I could even help if you'd like me, too."
There was a short pause. "Well, then, I guess I'll be seeing you this afternoon, then, won't I?"
He smiled. "Yes, I suppose you will."
When the afternoon came, the doorbell was rung. The man went to go get it, and when he opened the door, he saw Ootori standing on his doorstep with a young girl at his side. He smiled at them both.
"Hello, hello. So glad to see you both." He stepped aside. "Come in, come in!"
The kids did and slipped off their shoes. The girl was awfully silent, and maybe even a little scared.
"This is Nami Sazuki," Ootori introduced, gesturing to the girl. "Nami, this is Professor Radcliffe."
"Pleased to meet you," Sazuki greeted softly as she bowed.
Radcliffe waved his hand. "No worries, no worries. Would you kids like some tea? I've got some made."
"That would be lovely, thank you," Ootori nodded.
