Kyoya escorted me up the steps and through the doors. It didn't take long for his sister to find him, though...
"Oh, did you bring home a girlfriend?" she asked, smiling at me.
My cheeks reddened. "N-no! He's just insisting in tutoring me. That's all!"
She winked. "Sure ya are. Don't worry--I'll leave you be."
Kyoya sighed and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Thank you, Fuyumi..." he said sarcastically. "That is much appreciated."
With a giggle and a twirl she pranced away, leaving Kyoya to lead me to his room, if you could call it a room. It was actually quite open with a--well, you know what it looks like.
Garments were strung from one end of the room to the other which made me smile. Looked like his sister was trying to organize his drawers again.
Kyoya sighed and sat on his couch, setting his book bag on the seat next to him. I stood there, clasping my book bag neatly in front of me as I watched him, unsure as to what to do. I was in Kyoya's room! What should I do? Sit next to him? No, that would be too forward... Oh, curses!
Thankfully, Kyoya saved me from my thoughts after he had a breather. He opened his eyes and looked over at me. "You can set your books down on the table. Wait here--I'm going to call a maid for refreshments."
I nodded and knelt in front of the table, setting my books on the table like I was told and pulling out a random book to start working on. I ended up pulling out Trig.
Oh, well, I thought to myself. Might as well get it over with.
Before long, Kyoya returned. "We'll have some food coming. Anything in particular that you'd like?"
"Pockey!" was my immediate answer. I was just as surprised as Kyoya by my loud (for me) response.
His shocked face softened into a smile. "Well, if that's what you want... I'll have someone go get some."
I blinked, looking up at him. "Even though it's 'commoner's' food?"
He nodded, shucking his coat and hanging it up neatly in the closet. "Mmhm. It's been a while since I've had some. It wouldn't hurt to give my stomach a break from all of the rich food and try some of what you guys have."
I smiled happily and went back to my studies. Soon, Kyoya joined me at the table and pulled out his own homework.
It was comfortably silent. Until...
"Oh, otouto-chan!" called Fuyumi from the balcony above us. "You never introduced me to your girlfriend!" (Little brother - endearing)
A tic mark appeared on Kyoya's head while a blush appeared across my cheeks.
"We're not dating, onee-san..." Kyoya managed to say coolly. "And her name is Nami Sazuki. She's new to Ouran. I'm simply helping her with her homework." (Big sister - honorative)
I nodded mutely, not use to the loudness that was his onee-san. "I-I'm having trouble with some of my classes... I'm not use to advanced classes."
She rested her arms on the railing, propping her chin in her hand. "O-oh," she whined for me. "What classes?"
"Trig, History, Global Studies, and English..." I answer, keeping my head down at the table and solving the answer slowly. No offence to Fuyumi-san, but I wasn't finding her loud demeanor very inviting.
"Wow! You must be smart! And such interesting subjects, too."
I nodded, not answering as I wrote the answer to my Trig equation down.
