Gilbert picked his way through the house, careful so he didn't wake anyone up as he headed up the stairs to bed. He carefully avoided the toys on the steps, a vein popping at how messy the place was. I mean really. Yes, they were still kids, but just look at this! It was all scattered from Russia to Argentina! They were well old enough to know when to pick up after themselves. Natasha and Zelda really were too soft on the twins.
He stepped into his room and closed the door behind him with a sigh, leaning against it. Flicking his gaze around, his eyes landed on his wife's side, and he relaxed a bit. Walking over, he picked up a picture frame from off her dresser and sat on the bed, looking at it. It was a picture of them before they were even dating. They were sitting at a German restaurant, smiling happily. Gilbert had his arm hung loosely around her neck, pulling her close. Anahi had an eye squinted shut as she was pulled. Nali had taken the picture when they had all gone out to eat while they were all living under one roof.
Gilbert put the picture back and sifted through the various items on her dresser top. There were the tickets to the Rammstein concert, the hair clips Nali had given her, various coins from various countries, her favorite black ribbon, a few bits of jewelry, her cell phone, and a necklace with a tiny gilchick pendent on it.
Gilbert placed the necklace back on the wooden surface and let out a soft sigh, lowering his head. His chirpy yellow bird landed on his head and tried making a nest out of his hair. Silently the Prussian reached up and took the bird into his hands and down so he could see him. He couldn't help but smile when he saw that Gilbird was wearing the little Teutonic Knights cloak and little felt belt and sword.
Cradling the yellow ball of feathers he walked over to his bed and curled up, ready for sleep.

After school Eri and I hurried to the music room. They were going to do a brief training for us and then set us loose to the dogs, per say. At least that's what I viewed it as...
"Alright then. Are you ready?" Kyoya asked us after we had been debriefed.
"Aye, sir!" Eri cried, saluting Kyoya with a feline grin. I grinned. It was Happy!
Kyoya, of course, didn't get it, but just went to his book and scribbled down something before closing it again. I raised my brow at that, but, oh, well.
The doors were opened and soon the girls came in. Eri and I sat at our own little tables, alone for a while, until a couple of guys peeked their heads in. We took that as our cue and headed over to him, smiling.
"Welcome to the host club," Eri greeted, giving a bow which I copied. "Would you like a table?"
One rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, that would be nice."
We quickly made the table be a four seater and sat down, though the boys insisted that they push our chairs in for us. So we let them and settled in for idle chit-chat.
"So what made you decide to come here?" Eri asked, smiling.
One of the boys was very suave. "We couldn't resist the idea of lovely young ladies hostessing us..."
The Slimy Type, I pegged him. But my smile continued.
Eri played her part. "Well I wouldn't call us lovely... We're hardly rich enough to be called as such."
"But you come to Ouran, do you not? That should be enough," he winked.
Eri faked a blush. Man, she was better than me at this... And I was the one who wanted to join! "Well... If you insist... I suppose we could be called 'lovely'."
