"Who are you?"
I blinked, jerking myself back with a light gasp. "Wh-what do you mean? I'm Nami... In Reality I was called Cydnie. Why are you asking who I am?"
Kyoya leaned back. "The more I watch you, the more I get curious... And the more I see that you are no mere human. So let me rephrase the question: What are you?"
I stared at the raven-haired man with wide amethyst eyes. He didn't want to ask me a few questions...
He wanted to interrogate me.
I lowered my head. "You know I came from another anime, Senpai... The things I gained from that one must have flown into this one. My fighting, my history knowledge, my sudden fluency in German... They must be all connected. I just don't know what from..."
Silence lapsed between us. I refused to lift my head, and the longer there was silence, the more worthless I felt under his steady grey gaze. So much to the point that I ended up shedding a few tears, the salty liquid splattering onto the backs of my hands.
"That's enough, Kyoya," spoke a sudden voice.
I looked up with a light gasp to see Kaoru standing in the doorway, hands in his pockets. His body seemed relaxed, but... His eyes scared even me.
"You've said enough."
Kyoya sat back with a small smile. "I have, haven't I? I guess I was so focused on figuring out where she was from that I paid no attention to how she was reacting... I'm sorry, Nami-chan. Can you forgive me?"
My gaze flicked from Kaoru to Kyoya multiple times. Finally I nodded mutely, at which Kaoru made a face at before walking out.
Kyoya stood and held something out for me. I looked up to see that it was a hardbound book. I took it with both hands and opened it with a frown.
"Wha...?" I asked, running my fingers along the smooth, lined pages. They were a faint cream color with tiny Celtic knots running along the margin.
"To write down all of your memories," he explained, smiling. "Maybe if you compile enough of them together, you can figure out where you came from."
I smiled, chuckling to myself about thinking the same thing just a couple of days ago. "Thank you... Kyoya-kun."
He was surprised for a moment, but it was replaced by a smile. "You're welcome, Nami-chan."
I let out a small giggle.

"Kaoru... Why are you upset...?" Hikaru asked, watching his brother curl up in a corner of the room.
The younger twin laid his temple on his knees. "Kyoya is mistreating Nami... And she's taking it. It makes me so mad...!"
Hikaru slid off the bed and crouched in front of Kaoru. "If Nami didn't like how Kyoya was treating her she would have spoken up by now. You have to admit that she isn't the kind of girl to be used, or the kind of girl two not speak her mind when she needs to."
"But what if she likes him mistreating her?"
Hikaru grinned. "She wouldn't. And what makes you think that Kyoya is doing that?"
Kaoru retold the events that happened after he snuck back to the room, and how he finally stepped in when Nami was crying. He got really angry when he told about how Nami forgave Kyoya right after.
"Well Kyoya does have a point... It would be nice to know where else she's been," Hikaru stood in.
"But she doesn't remember! So he should just drop the subject, right?"
