\\Chapter Twenty Seven\\

It's over.

I knew it before it happened. I knew that's the end of my path. As soon as my car settled down somewhere under the road, I figured that a dot was put to the last sentence in my life book.

The wrenching pain was gone. Both the inside and the outside. My eyes hazily gazed in front of me as the morning's breeze tickled my bloody face. Everything around me was silent; not the scary kind of silence, no. I would rather describe it as peaceful. Tranquilly and blissfully, my eyes started to close on this world as I desperately yearned to sleep. I wanted to shut my eyes completely, but something mysterious held me back from that.

And I was glad I kept looking. I was glad I got to see one last sunrise. A mesmerizing one, precisely. I got to see something magical that didn't usually belong. The sun stretched as people started getting ready to wake up. It was clearly going to be a beautiful day. A beautiful one indeed. And as the sun rose from it's darkness, I fell into my mine with a smile on my face.

                               ~~~
"She has a faint pulse. Hurry up! Place her on the stretcher." A hurried professional voice woke me up.
My eyes opened slowly, taking in my surroundings. I was laying flat on the street and people were rushing from beside me. I blinked a few times before getting up slowly. I stood in my place looking around as paramedics rushed around accompanied with some other people.
"Excuse me, sir." The man passed me without even acknowledging me.
"Sir? Sir," I yelled after him, but he kept on going as if not actually hearing me.
"She stopped breathing! Quick, the oxygen mask." A man crouched on the ground shouting as he applied CPR on someone. He had a group of people assisting him in whatever he's doing. I walked confused towards them, taking wary steps not comprehending what's happening. As I gently approached, a girl seemed to be laying unconsciously on the ground. I took a closer look, trying to see her face through the crowd and the blood she's covered in. One of the paramedics moved away and I jolted backwards as soon as I got a glimpse of her face. Rushed gasps escaped my lips as I took in the scene. I was looking at a half dead girl in front of me, but that's not even close to the scary part. That girl was actually me. As in me. Me!
My breathing increased and I turned around in my place, searching this mess for a proper explanation. Everything just didn't make sense all of a sudden.
What's this? Where was I?
My hands clutched my hair as I shut my eyes, hoping that when I opened them, everything would eventually disappear. Nothing happened. I opened and d my eyes quickly but nothing changed.
"Come on, come on." I squeezed my eyes more. "Wake up!" I yelled as tears started gathering in my eyes.
This couldn't be actually happening. I shouldn't be here gazing at myself. Am I dead? How could this be? The other real version of me was still alive. I couldn't understand a single thing from what's occurring and that caused harsh stings of fear to clip my skin.
My body was being lifted into the ambulance as the paramedics were getting ready to rush me to the hospital. I hastily entered the vehicle, sitting beside myself as the back doors closed. The strobe lights were turned on as the ambulance sped up with all it's alarming sounds.
I bit my nails as I eyed myself breathing with huge difficulty, a medical collar wrapped around my neck, with paramedics applying pressure onto the wounds. I looked like the dead. My skin was so pale and cold as my lips started to turn blue.
