"bye haesoo. see you monday," chaeri said as she waved goodbye to me. "bye," i said back to her. i went ahead and locked up the door before heading back home.

just like the usual route, i walked through the park keeping my attention on my phone when all of a sudden a voice shouted out of nowhere. my heart and body jumped as i turned and saw him getting up from a bench and then ran over to me. he had a wide smile on his face as he looked at me. i brought my hands, with my phone in one of them, down to my sides.

"you're done with work?" he asked.

"i am. what do you want now?" i bluntly said. he shrugged. "nothing, i just can't believe you work at a pharmacy."

"you sound really surprised."
"being in the medical field is good is all i meant," he said.

"okay hoseok. why are you here? where's your sister?"
"oh, she went home already, and i told her i was going to stay out a bit more," he said and then smiled.

"why is it you smile so much?" i asked. "because i am a ray of sunshine," he said happily as he placed his hands under his chin in the form of a 'v'. my teeth gritted and i cringed just seeing him trying to do the cute stuff.

"well, stop, it makes me feel uncomfortable," i said looking at him. the smile on his face faded into a pout as he brought his hands down slowly to his side. "weird. girls would usually squeal over my aegyo. they like it," he softly said. i gave a scoff.

"rain check kid, i don't like aegyo," i told him. "impossible. then, i'll make you like aegyo whether you like it or not!" he said suddenly.

i shook my head before letting out a soft sigh. "yeah, good luck with that. goodbye kid," i said to him before walking away.
