"so you're older than yoongi hyung? that's great! we get to call you noona," taehyung commented cheerfully as we all sat down at a long table.
"noona~" jungkook and jimin cooed at the same time.
"oh, please, you don't have to do that," i laughed.
hoseok walked over and sat down next to me. we connected eye contact for a brief second before looking away from one another. a waiter came by and gave us menus.
"just curious... how do you guys know each other?" i asked them.
"through school. we all once went to school together, but then, seokjin and yoongi hyung graduated first. and then hoseok and then namjoon, and so fourth. but even after high school we're still as close as this," jimin explained.
"so high school friends. that's nice," i softly said.
"say, you don't have a boyfriend, do you?" taehyung suddenly.
"yah," seokjin scolded him. "do you think that is any way to ask a girl such a question especially at a first meetingike this?"
"i'm just curious," taehyung said.
i sensed hoseok was watching but i did my best to answer. "no, i don't..."
"aw that's perfect!"
"i'm sorry?"everyone looked at taehyung like he just ruined something. only i was confused.
"what he meant to say was that it's perfect you don't have one. maybe, uh, the right one will come soon," seokjin smiled pleasantly.
i looked at hoseok who chuckled nervously as he looked at me." lets order."
i watched hoseok look away before i looked at the menu in front of me.
everyone pitched in to the pay the total amount for the food we've eaten, me included. we, then, left the food restaurant.
"if you'd like haesoo, you could always come visit us at the building. hoseok can take you with him," namjoon suddenly said.
"oh, i possibly couldn't. don't want to intrude," i told them.
"nonsense! since you're hoseok's girlfriend–"
jimin pinched taehyung's lowerback.
"ow!" taehyung yelped.
i couldn't help but looked at him weirdly.
"nevermind him, noona. just come visit us when you can," jungkook smiled.
i looked at the youngest one and nodded my head. "if it is alright with you guys."
"we'd be glad," namjoon smiled, showing a dimple.
i gave a nod of my head. "i should probably get back home."
"i'll take you," hoseok spoke up. i looked at him and surprisingly smiled.
"i'll see you guys later," hoseok said to them. the other waved back as hoseok and i got on one of the public buses.
"well, that was lovely," i said chuckling softly. "your friends are very interesting."
"i hope the younger ones didn't make you uncomfortable," he said. i shook my head.
"no, not at all."
the bus ride was quiet after that. it wasn't until moments later, we came to my stop. we got off the bus and walked a few more blocks until coming upon my house.
"well, i guess this goodbye hoseok," i said to him. he stood there before my doorstep smiling back at me, but then he suddenly gasped.
"hey, you're not wearing my burgundy scarf," he said cutely. i couldn't help but laugh. "i said scarves aren't my thing."
he looked down at the ground slightly kicking at a small rock before i cleared my throat.
"if it makes you happy, i'll wear it next time."
"next time?" he asked picking up his head to look at me.
a smile slowly crept on my face.
"yeah, next time."
