"this broccoli casserole tastes great!" hoseok exclaimed before taking another bite from his plate. i stayed silent, quietly judging him.
"oppa, just how close are you with my sister?" my sister eunbyul suddenly asked at the dinner table. "eunbyul," my mother sternly said.
"no, it's okay. um, well, i think it's safe to say haesoo and i are friends," he said smiling.
i secretly picked my head up to look at him and he caught my eyes. my heart suddenly started to beat rapidly, so i looked away. "so what do you like to do?" my mother asked this time.
"oh. i like to dance."
"dance? that's awesome! what kind of dance do you do?" eunbyul quickly asked."a little bit of pop-and-lock. hip hop dances," he said smiling.
it seemed that this whole dinner time, hoseok had become close enough with my mother and sister. the night was growing quickly and by the time i knew it, hoseok had to go home.
"i'll walk you out," i said softly as we walked tot he front door where he had put on his shoes.
"hope you can come again oppa!" eunbyul smiled before waving goodbye to him.
"come back anytime you'd like," my mother added. i rubbed the side of my arm as i watched him. he met my eyes and a funny feeling filled my stomach again.
"thank you for the delicious dinner. i hope you guys have a goodnight," he said and then bowed politely to them.
"unnie, if you don't get together with hoseok, then i'm going to steal him away from you," eunbyul grinned causing me yet again to choke on my saliva. hoseok couldn't help but laugh lightly.
"alright, lets go hoseok," i quickly said before my sister could embarrass me some more.
we exited out the door but stood outside for a bit. "your mother and sister are very nice," he spoke first.
"mm, yeah.. i'll be sure to tell them that you like them. especially since my sister seems to love you the most already," i said crossing my arms.
"yeah, you're sister is charming but she's too young for me," he chuckled, "plus, i have someone i already like."
i pursed my lips togther as i forced myself to look at hoseok but immediately regretted it seeing the way hoseok looked at me suddenly made my legs feel weak, like they were going to give out any moment.
get it together, haesoo!
"you're crazy," i said lightly laughing it off. he gave a grin. and then, it just happened all so fast. i felt his lips give a quick peck on my cheek, and instantly, i felt my heart burst like fireworks.
"hey! what the heck was that?!" i suddenly raised my voice.
"that was a kiss on the cheek," he smirked.
"y-you.. you.. you take that back!!"
"i'm afraid i can't do that... but i can give you another one.""yah! are you asking for a deathwish?" i asked suddenly feeling my cheeks warm up in a way that has never happened to me before.
hoseok smiled ruffled the top of my head lightly. "goodnight haesoo. sleep well for me."
his words left me speechless as he left he steps of my house and walked quickly back home into the chilly night. i quickly went back inside and saw my mother grinning from the kitchen area.
"you saw nothing!"
