~{Y/N}'s POV~

"Matt," I said quietly after a while, "Have you calmed down now?"

He nodded a 'yes' into my shoulder and I pulled away just enough to see his face. He looked up apologetically and immediately, emotions struck me. "I'm sorry," he whispered.

"Don't be," I dismissed, "You've been holding a breakdown in since we got here."

He looked at me in shock. "How did you-?"

I sighed, "You're not the only one that can see others' emotions and breakdowns beforehand, you know."

He hesitated a moment before pulling me in for a hug. "So you don't hate me?"

I chuckled and hugged back. "Matty, how could I ever hate you?"

"What I did, what I feel, it's not right," he protested.

"I know you, Mail Jeevas," I reasoned, "And granted, I'm married, I've got Lawliet, and that's why I can't be with you like that. But I'm also saying that I love you too, just in a more... platonic way."

"I'm sorry," he repeated, and I planted a light kiss on his cheek.

"There's nothing to be sorry about. You don't need to apologize for feelings. Plus, no matter what, you're always gonna be my Matty."

He smiled and wiped the tears from his face. "Thank you, {Y/N}."

~L's POV~

"Y'know, L," Ryuk grumbled, "Shouldn't we be going towards Mello's little Boy Scout group?"

"You stop that," I warned. "We need to find Light, too."

"Don't you think you should be helping your family instead of Light?"

"Light is my family now," I argued, sweat dripping down my forehead from walking. "Jesus Christ, I'm feeling so hot."

"There's been no change in temperature, well, that I've felt, anyways." Ryuk shrugged, and I rolled my eyes, pulling off my white shirt and tying the long sleeves around my waist.

"...You're right, I don't. But I really hope you enjoyed fucking Misa Amane. Was it worth it? The risk of losing the person you actually loved?" An unfamiliar voice yelled.

Misa Amane..?

There was another person yelling, and somehow I felt that knew who it was. I kept silent and kept walking, hoping for a sight of the people. Groans and grunts of anger and fighting filled the area. "...bastard, hopefully that's gonna shut you up." A voice rang through the air.

Light.

I ran towards the noise and saw Light, standing by what seemed to look like a crumbled stone statue. He was shaking violently, with absolute rage. "L-Light?" I cautioned, walking slowly towards him.

Light turned around to look at me, surprised and... somewhat scared. "L... what're you doing here? How long have you been standing there?"

"...what's going on?" I questioned.

"Baby, I-!" He began.

"Don't give me some shitty excuse, Yagami!! What the fuck is going on?"
