jae froze at the words, his body stiffening. he didn't know why the confession made his body react in the way it did but before he could realize what was happening pain filled his chest while black spots started to cover the outer corners of his eyes.
"dear lord he's about to faint." yuta's mother warned. taeyong went through a moment of panic as jaehyun's legs gave out from under him. he fell onto his back causing taeyong to drop down next to him, holding up his limp upper half.
"why did he faint? is he going to be okay? i've never witnessed someone fainting before. oh, my god, i made him faint." he breathed out unsteady breathes as he looked back and forth from jaehyun to yuta's mother who seemed oddly calm given the current situation.
"i can only assume he fainted from shock. just breath taeyong, he's going to be fine. just help me get him onto the couch. he should awake in a few minutes."
when jaehyun awoke moments later he winced, bringing his hand to massage his forehead that pounded from a headache. he felt disoriented as he looked around to find himself laid out on a couch. taeyong soon came into his line of sight, his facial expression a mix of worried and relief.
"what happened? i could have sworn i just dreamed of you confessing your love for me."
"i kinda did."
jae mumbled oh and looked away from taeyong to up at the ceiling. "i think i'm getting a second wind." in meaning he felt faint again. taeyong shook his head, pulling jaehyun into a sitting position.
"no more fainting. it caught me off guard."
"your confession caught me off guard! you can't just have me come here expecting the worst and then drop that huge bomb on me! i'm fragile if you haven't noticed." jae leaned back on the cushions.
"at least i confessed okay! do you know how hard it was for me to do that? to just come here and open up my feelings? shit that i've kept to myself for years!?" taeyong rose from off the couch, the anger seeping into his veins. "you sound so insensitive right now!"
when jaehyun made no sign of apologizing taeyong turned on his heel and stormed out the room. it wasn't like jaehyun meant to have him storm off, he just couldn't believe he got called insensitive when he was the one who just fainted out of pure shock.
when he snapped out of it he cursed under his breath and chased down taeyong. he was already halfway off the facilities property when jaehyun caught up to him. he took hold of his forearm, yanking him to turn around.
taeyong glared up at jaehyun who was slightly panting. "what jaehyun?" he snapped, pulling his arm from his hold.
"i–i'm sorry for coming off as insensitive. i didn't mean to offend you. i'm freaking ecstatic that you like me back but you have to understand how i feel as well." jae's eyes softened as taeyong looked down at his shoes. "i mean just a week ago you hated me."
"i didn't hate you." taeyong mumbled, still looking towards the ground. he reminded jaehyun of a kid who just got scolded by his parents. it was hard not to falter and just pull him into a tight hug.
"it sure seemed that way." jae mumbled. taeyong scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "but moving on... now that we've confessed what does this mean for us?"
taeyong shrugged, not exactly thinking this far ahead. sure he just admitted to being in love but rushing into the relationship seemed a bit fast. there was still so much to learn about the other and rushed relationships never seemed to last. this time around taeyong wanted to take it slow and make sure he did everything right. jaehyun deserved that much.
"let's work on us first, and then we can become official. i want to continue therapy and become a better person for you... and myself."
jaehyun smiled brightly, his dimple prominent. to him, that sounded like a great plan. knowing taeyong was going to try and better himself and have them work together to form a relationship was everything and more to jaehyun.
"deal." jae held out his hand. taeyong chuckled before taking jaehyun's soft hand into his rather bony one. the two shook on it, neither could contain their smiles.

kun and hansol were exhausted. the hundred cups of coffee they had drunk during the two nights no longer helped them with regaining energy. their eyebags were dark, their eyes bloodshot and sore from staring at the computer screen majority of their day and night.
it wasn't until about three in the morning when kun shot up from his seat, making inhumane sounds as he pointed at the computer screen. hansol let out a weep, coming to the conclusion that his partner had finally lost his sanity.
"hansol!" kun repeated over and over again, slapping the older male's shoulder. "the information. i restored it! holy fuck i restored it!" hansol peeked over at the monitor watching the once empty files refill themselves with the lost information.
it was as if every sense awoke itself within hansol's body. a sudden surge of energy spread through his veins as he jumped up, joining kun in prancing around the office, screaming happily about being safe once again.
kun turned to hansol, resting his hands on either cheek. "hansol we did it! i could kiss you!" almost immediately kun's hands were being removed off of hansol's face.
he gave kun such a harsh judging stare the chinese boy lowered his head, his ears a bright pink. "i'm going to assume you said that because you're delirious."
"right." kun coughed, awkwardly pointing towards the computers. "we should uh, forward all the information before it gets lost again."
and so they gathered all the information, made it into a pdf file and sent it to their boss all within twenty minutes. with the weight lifted off their shoulders, they leaned back against their swiveling chairs, instantly falling into the well-needed slumber.
over at the jung residence, jaehyun's father found himself watching the security cameras to see how his son managed to leave unnoticed. he saw taeyong and jaehyun leave from the garden. they first tossed over their bags and then climbed over the fence seconds before a guard came turning the corner.
he hummed with interest. "wise jaehyun. but not that wise." he zoomed in on the cabs car number and smirked at the clarity of the numbers. he picked up his phone and punched in the numbers. it rang four times before a woman answered, her voice soft and innocent.
"hello. this is seunghee, manager of ssk's cab services. how can i assist you?"
"cab number 558 picked up my son and his friend two days ago and took them somewhere. i need to know the location it took them to. and before you give me problems just note you're talking to jung donghui."
he could hear her gulp over the line. she recollected herself and told him to give her a minute to bring up the information. he sat back with a content smirk on his face as he heard her rapidly typing.
"sir i have the location." when she recited it he thanked her and hung up. moon taeil's house.
"i should have known. of course he runs to his friend's house." just as he was about to call it a night an email attachment popped up on his screen.
