"Your telling me that there's a whole other world out there, in the North?" I said, "With Dragons, other kingdoms, other monsters, and people that regularly practice magic?"
"We prefer the term Guardians, but yes that's about it," Alexia replied, looking at the newly formed counsel of Gala.
After the war was over, the kingdoms had decided that monarchy wasn't working for them, so they switched to having a counsel, with representatives from every kingdom. The main headquarters was located right in the between the 3 kingdoms. In the hilly grasslands of central Gala. Or central Southern Gala, now.
"The rumbling you all heard," Alexia continued, "That was the Zen wall breaking down. Soldiers from the North are coming. Their outnumber our soldiers 10 to 1."
"What do we do?" Richard said, all the eyes on the counsel turned to me.
I rose out of my chair and studied the room. They relied on me, and I had to give them the honest answer.
"What we do best. Prepare for war."
