We had way too many boats. Pethor's soldiers and our legions combined made a grand total of around 350 soldiers. We had around 400 boats from the Red Kingdom invading force.
"What are we going to do with all the extra boats?" Richard asked, "Burn it?"
That wasn't actually a bad idea, though the smoke fumes might reveal our location to King Pelais's scouts, or any remaining Red Kingdom soldiers in the area.
"Let's just leave the boats here," I replied, "We'll bring as many weapons and cannons with us, but we can't take all the boats. Once we've gathered enough men at The Silver Chain, we can come back and gather the boats."
"How do you know the soldiers at the Silver Chain are still loyal to you and not King Pelais?" Alexia asked, "We can't sail all the way there just to find out that King Pelias has controlled them too!"
"I have a feeling that they'll be loyal to us, one of my friends have the location under his command" I said, "Besides, King Pelias never knew about the Silver Chain. After the war, it was kept top secret and only my fathers greatest ally's knew about the chains location."
"Then how do you know?" Hal asked, "Your father told you?"
"Actually, I stole the information from him, but that's not important," I said, "What's important is that we must get going now before King Pelias's men find out where we are!"
I broke up the conversation and assigned jobs for everyone to do. We had to get as much cannons, equipment and armour onto the 100 ships that we would be taking. That would leave around 4 people to man every boat. It wasn't enough, but I felt like if we left the boats here, they would be put to waste.
After about an hour of packing, we were finally ready to sail. That was just in time too, as we heard shouts coming from the distance and Green Kingdom soldiers coming. But these weren't regular Green Kingdom soldiers, they were infected with the dark mist and were under King Pelias's control.
"Stop sailing!" A soldier called, who was obviously the leader, "You're all under arrest, for assaulting the crown!"
Luckily, the Green Kingdom didn't have much of a navy, so they wouldn't be able to chase us. Unfortunately, they had brought cannons with them. They fired a couple rounds at us and sunk around 5 ships, but we were moving fast in the wind and it was hard for them to hit us.
We started gaining momentum and soon, Ground Lake was nothing more than a line on the setting sun.

6 hours later, around the time of midnight, we started to see a couple lines of land on the horizon. We sailed a little closer and unraveled our Green Kingdom flag. Hopefully they'll see this as a good sign and not fire on us.
A couple minutes later, The Silver Chain came into view. It was a tiny speck of light at first, but as we drew closer, I realized that it wasn't just a trick of the light, the whole fortress was silver. The sand was naturally silver, for whatever reason, and I guess the garrison members just decided to grow on that and they designed their fortress to resemble the sand.
The walls were pure silver and every patrolling soldier had silver armour too. There were several boats parked at their dock, but nobody came to confront us. I had never been to The Silver Chain before, but I liked the look of it already.
There was one central big island with a whole castle and fortress on it. There were around 10 other islands surrounding the main one, each separated by around 100 metres. Each had a small fort on it, but none was as grand as the one on the main island.
