Immediately, the cold shocked the air right out of lungs. I swam up and gulped a mouthful of air before the torrent pulled me under again. I swan desperately for the shore, but everyone knew that Green Kingdom soldiers barely saw any lake or river in their life, much less be able to swim. Somehow, I managed to grab onto a tree root that was sticking out and hold on to it.

Once I regained my strength, I hauled myself up to the shore and sat there for a couple minutes. Suddenly, an arrow whizzed past my face. If I hadn't taken a step back, it would have killed me for sure. Suddenly, a small army of Mandla descended down from the trees and surrounded me.

I looked behind me and found a couple of soldiers, including Richard, who was hauling Hal out of the river. Around 10 soldiers remained. The rest were dead bodies floating down the stream of have been ripped apart by the torrent or the jagged rocks that we somehow managed to escape.

The Mandla tribe members approached us with round wooden shields and crooked spears. I drew Loth and tried to look as threatening as possible, although that was kind of hard when you have only 10 people that were half dead from the cold river.

The Mandla charged at me, and I raised Loth, ready to defend, but just before the Mandla were able to attack us, a loud bang pierced the air. Suddenly, soldiers with masks swung down from the trees and engaged in battle with the Mandla. They were wearing golden armour and they looked extremely vicious.

Although the Mandla were excellent fighters these soldiers clearly outshone their skills. They twirled and slashed until the rest of the Mandla were running back into the forest once more.

"Thank you," I said, sheathing Loth, "Who are you guys and why are you saving us?"

"Don't thank us just yet," One of the soldiers said, also sheathing his sword, "We have to let Antitso decide if you're going to live or not."

After a brutal hour of walking and asking a LOT of unanswered questions, we arrived at a small village surrounded by walls and guards. Inside was a handful of straw huts. We arrived at the door to one of the huts and were herded inside.

Inside the hut, on a chair, was Antitso indeed. He looked quite anxious and with his giant golden sword strapped onto his back, the chair almost was collapsing under its immense weight. Once he saw us, he stood up and removed his sword.

"Lenard," He started, guestering for us to sit down, which none of us did.

"What do you want us here for?" I demanded, reaching for my sword, only to find out that the guards had confiscated it, "If you want to kill me, do it right now."

Antitso chuckled, "If I wanted you dead, you would be a dead body already. This jungle is my territory Lenard. I know this place better than the Mandla would in their lifetime."

"Than why are we here?" I asked, "Another of Ivor's tasks?"

Antitso's eyes hardened when he heard Ivor's name, "Ivor does not control me," He muttered, "That bastard has used the Red Kingdom for too much evil already. We must put an end to him."

I couldn't believe I was hearing this, "Hold on," I said, " You want us, to trust YOU and work together to end Ivor? Weren't you working with him for years already?"

"Years?" Antitso laughed, "I've known him once the war broke out. Before the war, there was another king. His name was Darmon. After the war somehow started, Darmon disappeared and Ivor came into power. Nobody knows where Ivor is from. The only thing we knew was that he was once General Masons Elite soldiers. One of the four. After Ivor came, he brought the mist. It started to control people, and the people were getting unhappy, since the mist turned them into mindless beasts, so Ivor was forced to send it out. Onto Mt.Orb, where a team researched it.
