Ivor walked towards me with the Sword Of Darkness in his hand. I took that time to survey the battleground below me. The Green Kingdom soldiers were pushing slowly, but surely into the city. The streets were now filled with clang of metal as the 2 sides met. Within seconds, the streets of the capitol were thick with soldiers and flooding with blood.
I looked back up just in time to see Ivor take a leap towards me with his sword outstretched. I managed to block it with Loth, but I was still tired from my fight with 'Ivor'. Ivor, on the other hand, seemed perfectly fine, even though he had just casted a spell that should have taken all of his energy.
A loud boom brought my attention back to the battlefield below me. The Red Kingdom army had wheeled in some cannons and were firing into their own city, taking down just as many of their own soldiers as they did of ours.
"Your cause is lost, Ivor," I said, waving my hand at the battleground, "There's no more point in fight, come with us and I promise that I will spare your life."
"You think you've won?" he sneered at me, "My job was just to hold you back. The real force is coming and you just wait when it comes. My army is nothing to my master's. Surrender to me, and I'll make sure everyone in your army dies quick."
I wasn't sure what kind of deal that was, so I didn't answer. Instead, I charged Ivor with my sword held up high. Just as I was about to slash down, I noticed odd details about Ivor. His eyes were always kind of ruined with the dark mist in them and everything, but now it was just getting ridicules.
You could clearly see dark veins steaming down his face like tears. His once buff and thick arms were now skinny and weak, also with veins streaming down them. Yet, somehow, he still welded the sword extremely well and was relatively strong for a 80 year old man.
The second Loth touched his face, he disappeared in a puff of smoke. I surveyed the surrounding area, but I couldn't find him anywhere. He must have retreated to the center of the city, where he could seek refuge for a while longer.
Now, it was clear that the Green Kingdom coalition was winning. We took block after block and were steadily progressing towards the center of the city. Although the tower was the center of operations, the throne of the Red Kingdom was still at the center of the city, where the old king had put it, before Ivor had came into power.
The Red Kingdom troops seemed to be abandoning the fight in the outer edges of the city and were now on full retreat to the center, where the remaining Masked soldiers and several soldiers had set up a shield wall. As I watched, I saw the glowing sword of Ivor as he teleported in the middle of the shield wall, scaring some of his soldiers.
They were creating a tight ring around the entrance of the palace, where they intended to protect the throne. I knew that I needed to get down there to take on Ivor, but I didn't want to walk down several flights of stairs, so I thought of another way down.
The tower was at least 5 stories tall, so jumping down would be suicidal... or not. I remembered when I was stuck on the pirates ship and I had to jump back onto the Gallian. The pirate ship wasn't as tall as the tower, but... it could still work.
I took a couple steps back and took a deep breath. It would be a stupid way to die if it didn't work. Falling off the edge of a tower trying to fly just because I was too lazy to walk down a couple stairs. I took of sprinting towards the edge and jumped.
The wind whizzed past my face for a couple seconds before the floors started to get bigger and bigger. I hit the ground with a slam, shooting bright light in a circle. When I got up, I noticed that a circle of light had been burned onto the ground around me.
