The next morning, we rallied our 300 soldiers and marched out the huge gates of the Green Kingdom.

"All right guys," Nos said as soon as we left the Green Kingdom, " We're out of the kingdom walls. Anything can happen now. Be aware and prepared at all times."

As on cue, a random battalion of soldiers ran out of the forest all armed with axes.

"Die Green Kingdom scum!" The leader of the soldiers screamed at us.

All our see were in formation of a basic shield wall and was advancing without a flaw. After a few seconds, most of the soldiers were either running for their lives or they were dead.

"Okay," Said Nos once the soldiers were out of sight, "That was pretty random."

We marched forwards toward the North where Mt.Orb was. The landscape was pretty boring. Endless hills stretched on as far as I could see. I fell in behind with Richard and started talking with him.

"Hey," Richard began, "Do you think the enemy camp is really big?"

"I doubt it," I responded, "They wouldn't waste too many resources on one camp. I think that they were just scouting information to the uncharted lands in the north, checking to see if there were anymore civilizations out there."

"Are there?" Richard said eagerly, "That'll be pretty cool, don't you think. "

"Nah," I replied, "Probably just tribes of uncivilized people and random cavemen. After all, my father died fighting those tribes."

"Really?" Richard said, "If those tribes could defeat a Green Kingdom army, they must be powerful then!"

I didn't respond to that. What Richard said made sense. How could a bunch of tribes defeat and kill my fathers army? I was about to respond when an explosion ran out.

"What's happening?" I shouted to Nos, who was at the front of the group.

"We're under attack!" Nos's voice echoed back, "It's the Red Kingdom!"

Our soldiers struggled together into a shield wall. More and more explosions kept on setting off, but I couldn't see the soldiers attacking. Suddenly, the soldiers beside me stepped on a round metal object on the ground. It made a faint BEEP , then it exploded, sending me into the air.

I landed hard onto the floor, but nothing seemed broken, which was good. I looked around and saw that the whole floor was filled with mines. It was a minefield!

Most of the soldiers noticed the mines and were looking cautiously at every step.

I glanced around the fields to be sure that no Red Kingdom soldiers were attacking us. I noticed dust, rising in the far distance. There were Red banners being raised up in the crowd. Enemy soldiers.

"Red Kingdom soldiers are coming!"  I shouted to Nos, "Get the soldiers ready!"

He nodded and yelled something at the soldiers that I couldn't hear. They ran forwards and stacked their shields on top of each others. It was an old Green Kingdom technique that only high officials and top generals knew. Pretty soon, there was a complete shield wall. Not the kind that had only shields on the sides, but this one had shields raised over their heads and on either side of them.

I ran forwards and plopped my shield into place above me. Other soldiers got the idea and joined in. Soon, the shield wall was complete and we were marching forwards like a turtle. I peeked out side the crack and saw that the Red Kingdom soldiers were riding up the hills, towards us.
