Chapter Twenty-Four

"The black lake? But how are you going to breathe underwater for an hour?" I ask Yoongi.

It was now only a day away from their second task, and we all couldn't figure out how he was going to breathe underwater.

"How am I supposed to know?" he replies without looking at me.

"I'll check on Hermione and see if she's found anything."

I go to the school library to see she was still searching.

"Any luck?"

She gives me a heavy sigh. "No."

"Hey you kids should be off to bed!" Moody walks out of nowhere.

"But we haven't found out--"

"I said off to bed," Moody interrupts Hermione rudely.

Without anymore questioning we all head back to our own dorms.

I hardly could sleep that night.

Celia's P.O.V

I was noted in the morning that Harry had found a solution and he shared it with Yoongi. Hopefully he won't die now.

I meet up with Jordis at the bleachers in front of the dark black lake. Underneath the water's surface are deadly sirens who weren't nearly as pretty as they were depicted in fairy tales.

I look around but I still can't find Serena.

"Do you think she overslept?" Jordis asks me. "I also can't find Jee."

"I don't know," I face the lake. "But what are they supposed to do in the water anyway?"

Finally Professor Dumbledore revealed that "treasure" was at the bottom of the lake, and that they all had to retrieve only one.

I bite my lip as the task starts. I see Yoongi and Harry shove something green in their mouth before jumping in with the others.

Please don't die.

After a few minutes Harry jumps out of the water and his feet had been webbed.

"Were those...gills on his neck?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"I think so? I don't know what the think anymore," Jordis sighs and then bites her lip. "Where is Harper?!"

We all wait impatiently as Namjoon makes his way next to me. 

"Have you seen Harper?" he asks.

Jordis and I shake our head. Now he's even looking? Great.

I hear him say something under his breath before moving away.

Some minutes later Cedric resurfaces with...Cho Chang. Oh, my God don't tell me the 'treasures' are actually people!

"Jordis, come on!" I tug at her arm. She looks at me oddly as I pull her to the back of the bleachers. 

I weave my way through others and make it to the post where the champions would resurface.

"I think the 'treasures' he was talking about are actually people!"

"Then are Harper and Jee down there?!" another thought dawned onto us.

"Jee too? Frick, whose Yoongi going to choose?!"

We look at the murky water before Harper pops out all out of breath. Next to her was a Yoongi who also had gills on his neck.

He helps Harper up onto the platform and we rush to her side and help her get bundled up. She was freezing and shivering like no tomorrow.

"How did you choose between Jee and Harper?" Jordis asks him as he takes a towel for himself.

"Wait, Jee's down there?! Shit!" he was about to jump inside again before Professor Dumbledore stops him. 

"You could only save one."

Yoongi swears some more before he starts to dry himself.

Later Viktor comes out with Hermione. Could there be a slim chance that Harry was going to save Jee?

"Please tell me she's going to be fine. But what happens to those who aren't saved?" I ask Yoongi.

His face goes onto another level of pale. "Fuck!"

"Okay, language kid," Jordis says quickly.

I see Yoongi grit his teeth before he walks to Harper.

"Is she okay?" I ask Jordis.

"Just cold," she nods.

"Aigoo, it's extremely cold!" I wrap my arms around my shoulders.

"Imagine how the wet people feel," Jordis shivers again.

I ball my hands into fists a few minutes later when no one was resurfacing.

Then Frilla comes out with her sister.

"He's last, but where is Jee?!" just as those words leave Jordis's mouth, Jee resurfaces in Ron's arms.

"Hurry!" I shout at him.

I immediately pull her up as Jordis gets another robe and towels.

"Are you okay?" I ask her.

"Yes, but Yoongi won't be," she says through chattering teeth.

Then Jordis comes back and wraps a giant robe around her.

"Yoongi!" he turns around with a relieved look on his face. Before she could lecture him or anything he envelopes her into a bone crushing hug.

"She has a pretty good relationship with her brother," I smile to myself.

"Lucky. My brothers always make fun of me. If I were at the bottom of this lake they'd rather save the enemy!" Jordis scrunches up her nose.

"But where's Harry?"

We wait a few more minutes before Harry comes out.

Jordis helps him up and I quickly give him a towel.

Then Professor Dumbledore announces that Cedric won first place, but Harry would've if he didn't decided to save Ron and Jee so he was awarded with second place.

Fleur got in last. I am extremely cruel so that's why I thought she deserved last place. Seriously, her school might be full of girly-girls. It's disgusting, and their entrance to the school showed it.

"At least Yoongi and Harry didn't get in last. What's the next task?" I ask Jordis.

"I think I heard Namjoon say something about a labyrinth or something," she shrugs. "It can't be that bad."

"But this is the third and final task--it has to be harder than the two before it," I state.

"Oh yeah..."

"Just pray that no one has to die."

She nods as we help the others up and into the school.

I felt Harper's forehead and it was as cold as ice!

I am so sorry for complaining about my problems.
