After we were close to school, we exit the train and go into carriages. Our luggage had to be searched before we entered the school. I wasn't complaining but it was embarrassing to have teachers look through your private things.

When we all made it inside the school, I look up at the ceiling to see dark clouds instead of the usual starry night.

I sit at my usual seat next to Namjoon, Rose, Mae, and Nayeon.

First years were sorted before Professor Dumbledore gave his yearly speech. We had a new teacher once again, but he took the job of potions. Snape had finally been promoted to Defense Against the Dark Arts!

It seemed like me and some other Slytherins were the only ones happy.

After the first night, we had potions class the next day. I wonder what it would be like with a new teacher.

I woke up to Rose jumping around the dorm room. She wasn't a fan of any Slytherins so she was giddy with excitement about the new professor.

We all get ready for the day and I accompany Namjoon and Nayeon to our potions class. Harry and Ron were both late. And on the first day? I sometimes wonder how Hermione could stand them.

The new teacher was Professor Slughorn or something. He was an elder man who was pretty nice, I guess.

The first thing he taught us was this new potion. Hermione and I brewed it together. It was weird since the whole entire class had their eyes on us, so it gave us something to motivate us from not messing up.

Finally we finish it and Professor Slughorn explains that the potion we just created was a powerful love spell.

Once he said those words, most of the girls started crowding around the potion, now intrigued.

It was really annoying. If you liked a guy so much, why not try to get him with your personality? The potion will start to wear off and when you're in a make-out session or whatever they'll think you've kidnapped them.

After that Professor Slughorn showed us a small vial of golden substance. He said that it was called Liquid Luck. It would enhance the luck of whoever took it. He didn't explain much but it got everyone interested.

He said to make a potion on page 10 of our book. If one of us succeeded on making the death potion, then they would get a vial of Liquid Luck.

We were supposed to cut the moving grape but it kept bouncing everywhere. I tried to do it before I gave up and tried crushing it with the blade of the knife. It worked so I just put it into the cauldron.

I brewed it correctly as the book told me, but it didn't create a liquid death.

Harry did and won the vial. I congratulated him with a genuine smile since I never really cared for the vial.

When the class is over, we walk to our next class together.

"I wonder how long the Love Potion lasts," Celia wonders.

"Why do you want to know? You already got a boyfriend," Namjoon asks.

"Just wondering. Why would I try it? Logan's a great boyfriend. He's just forgetful. Like he forgot my birthday, our anniversary, some important facts about me..."

Celia sighs. "Now that I think about it, maybe it just isn't working out. It's also annoying when I get teased because I'm dating a Gryffindor."

Jordis pats her on her back, trying to comfort her. I always wondered why their romance lives were going so smoothly.

No one's love life can be that smooth and not rocky. Jordis was still fine with Taehyung, though. I guess they're a perfect match.

Celia's P.O.V

Later that day, around dinner time, I decided to walk around the castle. When I told Jordis and Harper my feelings and thoughts out loud, that was when I began to understand them.

Logan was a great guy. He was everything that I liked...but it just wasn't working.

Last year I had met this other great guy in Ravenclaw. His name is Aaron. He's Vietnamese and is really smart so he's obviously in Ravenclaw.

He's a music prodigy and is in some of my classes this year. He is really nice like Logan and isn't forgetful. He actually remembered my birthday last year and gave a stuffed animal.

Aaron's also one year younger than me. I honestly don't care, though. I was falling for him.

I snap out of my thoughts when I see Malfoy lurking through the shadows. Draco had always been a stereotypical Slytherin and never was really smart. Or had a brain. He acted all tough but when faced at wand point, he was a trembling little child.

I follow him to see a door appear out of nowhere. I follow him into another version of the Room of Requirement to see him take off a giant cloak off a giant closet.

Before I got caught I quickly sneaked out of the room. I didn't want to see what he was going to do; probably another stupid prank.

Harper's P.O.V

Fall started to get really cold when it was transitioning into winter. It wasn't quite winter yet but it felt like it.

A few days ago Celia had broken up with Logan. He wasn't crushed because he also felt like they had been drifting apart.

Now it was Gryffindor Quiddtich try-outs. Ginny really had a powerful voice since she got all of them quiet.

I sat next to Jordis, Celia, and Hermione as we watched everyone. There was this guy who's last name was McCormick. I didn't really care to learn his first name as he was a cocky sexist bastard.

I knew he liked Hermione and so did she. He tried to impress her out in the field. Ron was just lucky he blocked some balls going his way.

McCormick was doing not so impressive flips to impress Hermione. She was soon fed up and decided to sabotage him.

She mumbled a spell under her breath that moved him. He was about to block another ball when the spell moved him aside, so the other team scored a goal.

Of course Hermione would never do this at a real game, this was just try-outs.

Nonetheless, it was funny so me and the others were laughing. She did break some rules sometimes.
