Chapter Forty-Two

Harper's P.O.V

I followed Harry into Dumbledore's old office where he led me to this glowing blue misty sink-like structure thing.

"Are you ready?" he asks me. 

I didn't know what he meant so I just nodded. He takes out a small vile with a single tear in it. He pours it into the sink and tells me to dunk my head in.

I take a deep breath before dunking my head in...but there was no water or any liquid. A small scene began to form around me.

A younger boy with dark black hair crawled out of a tree with another boy. I instantly recognized the second boy.

He was my dad.

The two boys were laughing but then the black haired friend stopped. He was staring off into the distance with an awe-struck face.

My dad started teasing him...about a girl?

I look to where he was staring to see a girl with ginger hair  reading a book underneath another nearby tree.

"When are you going to admit you feelings for Lily?" my dad chuckles a little.

The black haired boy blushed quite noticeably on his pale cheeks. 

After that I saw more scenes...and then realized the black haired boy was Snape. I had no idea he was childhood friends with my father.

I also saw another boy who had Harry's striking features bullying Snape. When he left, my dad was always there to help clean him up or something.

The other boy had a bunch of friends so I didn't think two against many was a very fair fight.

Then another scene popped up...the images around me swirled to the place where I was last with my dad.

He was carrying me and I was trying to speak when he suddenly started to cough up blood. He set me down hastily and started crawling.

I was trying to call for help but it was as if no one knew we were there. The next thing I knew was that Bellatrix appeared behind him and instantly killed him.

My eyes grew wide when I saw that I wasn't moving. She was staring at me and I was staring back at her.

She cackled a little before raising her wand and shouting the death spell, aimed at me.

Am I...am I actually dead?

Celia's P.O.V

"He'll die!" Taehyung shouts.

"Of course we know that!" Hermione shouts back.

"What happened?!" Jordis interrupts the two. She usually was the one who was a bit slow to comprehend huge news.

"Voldemort gave Harry a message to meet him in the dark forest for a final duel," Ron answers for her.

Jordis's mouth drops open. I sit quietly next to Aaron on the stairs. Namjoon, Yoongi, Jimin and Jungkook were helping the other witches and wizards in the Main Hall.

Hoseok and Jin were always a few inches away from tripping over them since they kept following them, claiming, "If there's a lot of people around, no one would try and attack us."

I honestly wonder how Harper, Jordis and the others even became friends with them.

"What are we going to do?" I ask Jordis. "And I don't know where Serena is right now."

"All I know is that she's with Harry," Jordis shrugs.

"But we saw him a few minutes ago, telling us the message," Hermione replies.

"Aish, I really am stupid," Jordis sighs and sits next to me.

"Don't put yourself down. You're really good in a lot of classes," I look at her.

"What you mean is that I'm really good at failing my classes."

"This isn't the time to discuss this. But, um..."

"What?" Hermione, Jordis, and Aaron ask me at the same time.

"Who else is dead?"

Of course I had to know which of my friends died. Jordis agrees to come with me to the Main Hall while Hermione and Ron stay at the stairs.

We start at the corner near us and start to look at the dead bodies on the tables. This sounds and looks so wrong.

One of Ron's older twin brother died...Fred or George I can't tell.

I cry a little when I see some of my roommates dead, Jamie and Lauren to be exact. They were super nice and luckily didn't snore at night.

Jordis found one of her roommate's  younger sister, Momo, dead. 

I look at all their cold, dead faces and feel their cool white hands when they brush against mine as I pass them.

Was this what I would look like...when I'm dead?

In the end me and Jordis sit down on a nearby bench.

"Can I kill this son of a bitch now?" Jordis mumbles.

"I would rather torture him until he's almost dead. Then starve him more for a week...and then he'll die a slow and painful death," I sneer.

"You can be really malicious you know," Jordis gives me a weird look.

I shrug, "I think I get it from Serena. I have known her for forever."

"I guess."

But that was all. This was all we could do now.

It was all up to Harry now.
