12 : Her Reality

Her reality

Halos saktong sakto ang pagpasok ko sa loob ng eroplano.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome onboard Flight 3B6 with service from Philippines to Canada. We are currently third in line for take-off and are expected to be in the air in approximately seven minutes time. We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Smoking is prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for choosing Philippine Airlines. Enjoy your flight." We all heard the announcer spoke.

Minutes later after the plane took of, I sat back on a spare seat.

I am not feeling well until now. Ang bigat parin ng pakiramdam ko.

" Okay ka lang ba Calli?" Tanong sa akin ni Sam.

Tipid akong ngumiti sa kanya

" Oo okay lang ako. Masakit lang talaga 'yung ulo ko" Pagtatapat ko.

" Gusto mo bang tumawag ako ng nursing aid?" Tanong niya naman muli.

" Hindi na kailangan pa" I just said bago ko ipinikit yung mga mata ko.

" Calli naman. Masyado mong mahal ang trabaho mo kaya ka niyan nilalagnat dahil sa pagod. Dapat nag-absent ka na lang muna" Panenermon sa akin ni Sam.

" I know I should have. Pasensha na kayo." I told my team mates na halatang nag-aalala na din sa kalagayan ko.

I guess I really need to visit a doctor.

Ininda ko lahat ng nararamdaman ko hanggang sa matapos na ang flight ko pabalik ng Pilipinas.

I need to go home immediately and take a rest for a while. Mabilis na din ako mapagod nitong mga nakaraang araw.

I sweat a lot during the night at napapansin ko ding mabilis akong magkapasa. I just bumped into something yesterday, it wasn't that forceful but I had bruises the next day. Noon naman, hindi ako nagkakaroon ng ganito. At madalas din akong nilalagnat.

I took my temperature and I confirmed that I'm having a fever.

Naglakad ako papunta sa kusina upang kumuha muna ng tubig ng may biglang kumatok sa pintuan ko.

I took a glass of water before walking towards the door. Sinilip ko muna kung sino 'yung kumatok. It's Code again. Hindi ko siya pinansin. Wala rin akong balak pagbuksan siya ng pinto.

What for?

It's not like he left something here. And if he's here for sex then sorry na lang siya, I'm not going to entertain him for that matter.

I was about to walk away from the door when he spoke loud.

" Calli, pagbuksan mo naman ako please. I badly want to see you" Daing niya sa labas.

Tinakpan ko yung tenga ko.

" Umalis ka na Code. Ba't mo ba ako ginugulo ha" I shouted at him.

" Puwede bang pagbuksan mo ako at ng makapag-usap tayo ng maayos" He shouted.

" Wala na tayong pag-uusapan pa Castaneda" I shouted back

" Ako meron" Saad niya.

" Umuwi ka na lang!" Wala akong panahon para makipag-usap pa sa kanya.
