" Calli, I'm sorry but you have an Acute Myeloid. May Leukemia ka Calli. Stage three." Halos mapaupo na ako dahil sa narinig kong saad ni Dra. Rodriguez sa akin.

" I know that you are aware of the signs and symptoms of it, Calli. Alam ko ding noon mo pa 'to nararamdaman. You just don't give too much attention about it" Tears came pooling down my eyes the moment I realized everything.

This is not happening.

Hindi ito puwedeng mangyari.

I cannot die.

Damn it!

This is just a dream.

As much as I want to make myself believe of what is happening. Ang hirap paniwalaan ang lahat ng mga narinig ko mula sa doktor.

" No, I'm not dying Dra. I can still get well right?" I asked her. I weakly bowed down my head the moment the doctor didn't nod. Hawak hawak niya parin ang resulta ng test na ginawa sa akin. I did all of it.

I wiped my tears before looking at her.

" You are in a terminal stage already Calli. The prognosis of your disease is low." She said.

Umupo sa tabi ko si Dra. Rodriguez bago niya ako niyakap.

" Mahirap para sa akin na sabihin ang totoo sa iyo Calli. Pero trabaho ko ito. I don't want to lie about your sickness Calli. But I can help you extend your life. Medications can help us do it." Damn it! I cannot believe I am not dreaming about it.

Umiling agad ako. I wiped my tears before looking at her.

" I don't want to do a chemotherapy doctor. Kailangan ko na lang sigurong iiyak muna ito." I honestly told her. It's damn hard.

" Call me, Elaine, Calli" She said. Napapikit ako.

" I completely understand it Calli. If in case that you want to undergo medications, just call me. Ako mismo ang gagawa nun para sa 'yo" She said.

Code was waiting for me outside.

We've waited for the results of my blood test for a day before we came back.

And this is what I heard.

I wiped my tears away before we went out of the room. Ngunit saglit na tumigil si Doktora Elaine.

" Do you want me to tell him about it?" She asked me.

Umiling ako.

Ayokong malaman ni Code tungkol sa sakit ko dahil baka maslalo niya akong hindi pakakawalan.

" He doesn't need to know it. He's not my boyfriend. Magkaibigan lang kami" Saad ko kay Doktora

" Hindi ba dapat, mas may karapatan siyang malaman tungkol sa sakit mo dahil kaibigan mo siya." She asked.

" Ako na lang po siguro ang magsasabi" I told her

Lumabas na kami pareho. Code was just standing outside. Halatang hinihintay niyang lumabas kami.

" So how was it. Is she pregnant?" Tanong agad sa amin ni Code

" I'm sorry but she's not pregnant, Mr. Castaneda" She said to Code. Nakita ko naman ang pag-igting ng panga ni Code

" Then what about it. Why is she not feeling well?" Tanong naman agad ni Code

" I suppose, my client has the right to say it to you, Code" Saad naman sa kanya ni doktora.
