A/n: The guy, Paul Rivera, is um Dean Winchester. So let's just not kill me now. It's a short chapter 'cause there will be a second part, and (I think) they're equally sad.
I'm sorry if this chapter sucks, if there's any errors please tell me in the comments.
Y/n's POV
Colby and I had stayed at the Rivera's for a week. I stayed with my mom. She was due any day now.
I tried to understand why she would want me there. I had asked her and she told me that she was proud of me.
Little did I know that, that would be our last conversation.
I got a call early morning, "Hello?" I asked rubbing my eyes "Y/n! Your mom! She's in labor!"
I got up as quick as I could. "Oh my god!" I put on some jeans and a shirt. "Babe, what's wrong?" Colby got up blinking his eyes tiredly.
"Colby! My mom, she's-" he looked up and his eyes widened.
We got into my car and I exclaimed "Buckle up." He looked at me and put his seatbelt on.
I took a different road. A fast road to the hospital and then my phone rang. "Can you answer?" I asked Colby and he picked up the phone.
"Hello." I heard someone from the other line say something and then they hung up. I parked in the first place I saw and got out quickly.
"Y/n. Y/n!" Colby said and I turned out of breath. He looked at me and said "The call, was about your mom." I sighed and he walked to me hugging me.
"Let's go." He told me and we walked to the entrance. "Hi, um, I'm Amber y/l/n's daughter." The nurse looked up and nodded.
Colby and I walked to a room in the back. "Hey, it's okay." He said and I hugged him. Going into the room my mom was there, her eyes closed.
Tears fell from my eyes and Colby hugged me. "Y/n, Colby." Paul looked at us. "The baby lived." I took harsh breaths as I found it harder and harder to stay calm.
"Your mom said that you should name her, as you could have a piece of her with you." I felt my heart break.
I walked to my mom, hair stuck to her forehead. I hugged her and whispered to her.
"I love you. We shouldn't have fought, the last thing I told you was that I loved you and I'm glad. I'm sorry, I really am." I felt my knees weaken.

We had been there for thirty minutes but it had felt like thirty seconds.
"Y/n. We have to go now." Colby said and Paul was standing in front of me handing Colby the baby.
I could see that he panicked at first and I smiled.
A nurse was standing in the doorway telling us that it was time to go.
A different nurse gave Paul a piece of paper and he looked over it then handed it to me.
He had signed the bottom where it had said 'guardian'. The last space said 'legal name' and I looked up, tears in my eyes.
He handed me the pen and in my best hand writing I wrote, Lillian.
