The abrupt vibration of Isabelle's phone startled her, she was consumed in the world of a book the author so elegantly created for her. It was the early hours of the morning, the sun only now peaking through the tall towers and buildings of Queens. She abandoned the book, discarding it to the side after tagging it so she could come back to that page later. Surprised she saw Tony's I.D pop up requesting a facetime call with her, she accepted and raised her brows upon being greeted by the middle aged man.

"Uh, morning?" She held the phone in front of her face, swinging her legs off the side of her bed and started to head to her bedroom door. "Any luck yet?" Tony asked earning a groan and an eye roll from Isabelle as she walks into the hallway. "I've been here what a whole of what? three days - not even. Stop pestering me every day, it's going to take time unless you want to make yourself useful and get into the school system and give me a list of every student and their class timetables."

She walked down the hallway and into the kitchen, trying to be mindful of the two sleeping boys in the apartment. However, as quiet as she tried to be her voice woke up Peter from a peaceful slumber. Hearing her talk to someone on the phone travelled down the hallway and into the guest room, now awake he checked the time and was surprised that at the time displayed. It was incredibly early for someone to be talking on the phone to another person, but Peter guessed it was her Dad and contemplated whether or not to make it known he was awake or to just lay in bed a little longer.

"What you're asking me to do is illegal Isabelle, that's an invasion of privacy and not to mention a little creepy." Isabelle pulled a face and shook her head, "sending me to school to find investigate is illegal - I - I'm basically a nark and making me touch teachers is creepy but sure!" Her words were quick and her voice was hushed, Tony simply rolled his eyes at the teenage girl but decided not to fight it, "fine, I'll have Happy investigate for me."

Isabelle sat at the kitchen counter with her back facing the hall she propped her elbows up on the cold marble surface. "Why'd you face time me anyway? It's a little weird y'know..." She pushed her glasses up her nose and pursed her lips. "Well I wanted to see if you broke the apartment in... had a party... anything like that. Clearly not." Gesturing to him, physically asking 'what?' with her free hand and looked at him ludicrously, "wha? no! I went to school a grand total of two days so far, I'm not instantly popular - that's not how it works?"

"I mean I just don't understand why you wanted to go under a different name than Isabelle Stark, kids would be crawling at your feet if they thought you were my daughter... or something." Suppressing a groan Isabelle simply looked at him, a clear look of annoyance on her face. "Then what's the point of trying to do this undercover if 'i'm the daughter of a multi-billionaire entrepreneur and co-founder of The Avengers' that doesn't sound inconspicuous at all."

With all her talking she had accidentally woken up Ned who remained on the couch just a few feet away from her and as he voiced his consciousness, Peter walked into the kitchen, unknowingly into the perfect view of Tony who was immediately curious to see a boy walk past in the background. Thankfully for her, neither of them heard anything and in fact, Peter hadn't at all noticed who Isabelle was speaking to. "Is that a boy? Isabelle, did you have a boy over last night?" Tony started to bust her chops, her eyes widened and she whipped her head back to see Peter rubbing his eyes and making his way over to her.

Only he was stopped by Ned who desperately rushed past to get to the toilet. Tony saw that and a grin spread across his lips as he gasped, "two boys? Atta girl." Isabelle groaned and shook her head, "their friends Tony, I need to go-." Peter's head whipped up at the mention of Tony, he now knew that she wasn't talking to her dad at all, but indeed Tony Stark. "Go get em' tiger. You're more like me than I thought-." Tony was impressed but his compliment was cut off by Isabelle rushing a goodbye, "-yeah that's great - thanks for calling about Dad. Bye." Quickly she ended the face time and was very close to slamming the device on the counter.

"Was that -- that was Tony... Stark?" Peter slowly stepped forward, and his voice mimicked his slow movements. He can't believe he was that close to talking to Tony Stark, even if it was over face time it was still a starstruck moment. Isabelle chuckled, "yeah, Dad lost his phone so Tony was letting me know." Her alibi wasn't as strong this morning but it was still convincing enough for Peter. If he wasn't so starstruck at this moment he most definitely would've picked up on the lie, but given that he wasn't typically this dazed, it slid past him.

"Oh... wow t-that -- that is so cool... I'm sorry I just - I - uh - I'm a fan..." He ran his hands through his hair, the grin on his face wasn't dying down anytime soon. His heart pounded wildly in his chest, he can't imagine what he'd be like if he ever actually met Tony Stark. Probably a mess, most likely. Isabelle laughed, she thought it was cute seeing him practically break down into a mess of fanboy and nerd. It added levels to him she thought she wouldn't see, given his typically docile nature. The fact that Isabelle's voice woke him up quicker than any alarm he set on his phone also spoke levels regarding the strange pull both felt toward each other.

Attraction? Most Definitely. Curiousness? Yes. An ache to figure out each other? Certainly. Again it too didn't help that both were oblivious to the others hidden life, but heroes tended to gravitate toward heroes. Much like villains banded together with other villains. It was an energy that the two clearly unknowingly felt toward the other to have some effect on them, to want to be around each other even if they only met two days ago.

It was a marvellous thing having special abilities, but no matter how easy both thought it was to conquer their abilities on their own. Nothing could compare to conquering infatuation and love. It mightn't be there now between the two but the foundations of attraction was most definitely there.
