Peter sighs, leant up against the elevator walls with his phone pressed to his ear. Isabelle's voice fills his ears, making his chest feel thick and his heart hurt. "Hey, Pete... It's me, Issie -- I'm sorry I haven't called, I just... a lot of shit has gone down these last few days... But I'm all right. I always am... Can - Can you call me back on this number, please... B-Bye..." Ever since he saw the missed call from early in the morning he had listened to it on repeat for some time. Of course, he hadn't returned the call - he couldn't, the number was unknown which made it impossible for him to try and call her back.

He was just glad she was okay, that she was fine. Despite the news of Berlin flooding each and every news station, just this one call was enough to believe she was okay. Switching off his phone he pockets it, adjusting his grip on the DVD player he scored from the dumpster two blocks down. Life had been dull without Isabelle around, he was thankful to have Ned around to brighten his days up as always, but it didn't stop him from staying up late and thinking about his girlfriend.

The elevator dings and the doors open allowing Peter to step out and onto his floor, walking around to his apartment door and unlocking it. His thoughts wandered to the insanely nice looking Audi parked outside that looked incredibly out of place in this neighbourhood. He felt bad for the owner of the car knowing that it would most likely get knocked off by a few street rats in a matter of hours.

Slipping the key into the doorknob he jiggles it around while juggling the DVD player in his hands. Kicking the door open with his foot, he walks inside, not paying too much attention to his Aunt sitting down on the couch. "Hey, May." Peter greets, adjusting the strap of his backpack and kicking the door closed. "Hey." May smiles at her nephew, watching him as he crosses through to the kitchen.

"How was school today?" She asks, Peter shrugs and puts his keys on the kitchen counter, "it was okay. There's this crazy car parked outside...." Peter finally looks over to May, his eyes stopping on the man he hadn't noticed was sitting beside May. That man was Tony Stark. Tony Stark. Tony Stark was actually in Peter's apartment. The closest he had ever been to the billionaire and father of his girlfriend was at the track tournament which he didn't expect the Avenger to remember at all.

"Oh, Mr Parker." Tony greets, a slice of walnut date loaf in his hand. Peter isn't particularly sure how to react, he actually knew his name and that was shock enough. "umm...What are you doing - Hey - Uh um... I'm -I'm Peter..." Peter stammered, stepping around the countertop closer to Tony. He was positive this was a dream - it had to be, right? "Tony." Tony introduced with a smile.

Peter wiped his clammy hands on his jeans, "What're you - What - What're you doing here?" Tony smiled and shrugged slightly, "It's about time we met." Finally, the words processed for Peter and his expression dropped slightly, "Issie -- is she -."

"Fine? She's fine... But I've come here for you - You've been getting my emails, right?" Tony winked, motioning for Peter to play along. "Yeah..y-yeah. Regarding the uh... the-" May cut him off thankfully as he had no clue as to what was going on. "You didn't even tell me about the grant." May, of course, was shocked, to say the least when Tony Stark came knocking on her door to talk about Peter. "About the grant," Peter repeated with a nod.

"The September foundation - Issie was telling me all about how smart you were, made you apply - remember when you applied?" Tony prompted making Peter nod slowly, "y-yeah." Tony clapped his hands together with a grin, "well I approved - with the help of a certain someone. She wouldn't stop bugging me until I did. And now we're in business." He gave the boy a pointed look to continue on with the obviously made up lie.

Tony was nonetheless surprised at how well Peter went along with it, knowing from Issie's story he's a pretty clean cut kid and doesn't do much outside of what's right. "You didn't tell me anything. What's up with that? You keeping secrets from me now?" May asked and Peter shook his head frantically, "well I just - I know how much you like surprises. So I thought I would let you know... whe.... Anyway, what did I apply for?" He raised a brow at Tony.
