"Wait - Wait -- You're in London? Issie - what's going on, there's a U-N meeting about the Avengers and now you're in London?" Peter's concerned voice filled Isabelle's ears as she paced around the hotel room. She chowed down on one of her fingers while she calculated a response, she had been in London for at least two days prior to this conversation, she had been figuring out a way to tell Peter in the best way possible but it appears that she'll have to outright tell him the truth. "Look... it's hard to explain whats going on - I would've called but we were well and truly halfway across the world before I even thought to explain."

Steve, Sam, and Sharon all watch the girl pace around the room, how her expressions contorted onto her face and suddenly they were hit with a wall of pity for her. They felt bad for a girl her age to be forced into decision-making this big, how uncomfortable it would've been for her to decide in the unwilling position.

"Try me - I know that there's some big document you all have to sign, something about putting into place regulations to minimise casualties caught in the middle of Avengers business - it's all over the news Issie, you could've just told me - you know I wouldn't have told anyone." Peter's voice had a hurtful whine to it. When Issie called him to notify him of her whereabouts he was filled with a sad energy knowing she left without saying goodbye.

A sigh passed her lips and she shook her head, "It's so much more than that... Tony, Nat, Vis and Rhodey have signed it... Pete, I'm not signing it -- I just - can't explain right now but I'll be back once we've sorted things out. All right? There's a way we can do this without fighting, as a team and we just need to have a break. That's why I'm in London with Steve and Sam." Her gaze remained glued to the carpet, not daring to flick up to the three adults who watched her.

"How is she holding up... really?" Sharon murmured to both Steve and Sam as Isabelle turned her back, her voice filling the room as she continued to talk on the phone. "She was put into a position where she shouldn't have to make this kind of decision... Deciding against Tony wasn't out of spite, she truly thinks that signing it could do more harm than good and I feel like she made a tough choice but she thinks its the right choice."

"It's gotta be a kick to the gut for Tony - the girl you mentor turning on you. Do you think he really meant what he said to her?" Sam pointed out, his eyes glancing every now and again at Isabelle who was still pacing. "No - definitely not, he's obviously hurt by it and he reacted in a human way. We all know that if anything happened to her you can bet on it that Tony would be the first person to look after her." Steve answered, playing with his hands.

Sharon looked at the girl sadly and the dropped her head down, "who is she on the phone too? Whoever it is, seems to know a lot about her... and all of you." A sad smile pulled on Steve's lips,
"Her boyfriend, Peter. He's a good kid - they both are and they don't deserve whats about to happen to their relationship." Sharon raised a brow, "what? You don't think they'll last?"

Steve shook his head and chuckled dryly, "the minute the signed accords get to the United Nations and see we haven't signed, things will get out of hand. Forced retirement... Locked up... treated like criminals... who knows... whatever will happen to us is up in the air but it'll tear those two apart." Sam sighed and looked out the window, "a shame really - Issie was the only person I wanted to be happy in this universally screwed up line of work."

The three share a light chuckle between them as Isabelle finishes her phone call with Peter. "I'll keep you updated if anything changes... okay?" She bit down on her lip and awaited a response from the boy she left all the way in Queens, "Stay safe... please... Come back to me..." His voice cracked ever so slightly which made her frown and inhale deeply, "I always do. Goodbye Pete."
