"You guys look like hell." Tony mused, stirring his coffee at both Natasha and Steve as they slug through the kitchen dining area toward their rooms. Vision chuckles slightly from his position on the couch reading a book, Sam and Rhodey were enjoying a late lunch together at the kitchen counter, Wanda and Isabelle, however, were nowhere to be seen. Steve dropped his bags and stared at Tony, "Thanks."
The two certainly had their work cut out for them, venturing all the way to Croatia for a recon mission gone south. "Well... at least it's quiet." Natasha sighs, she too, dropping her bag before narrowing her eyes at the silence. "Wait a second - it's quiet? Why is there a lack of teenage girls around?" She gestured around at everyone who merely shrugged in response, not particularly bothered by the silence or lack of 'teenage girls'.
"Well, when you put it that way - it sure sounds dirty." Steve eyed Natasha who rolled her eyes in response. "You know what I mean, where's Wanda and Issie -" It was as if saying Isabelle's name triggered something in both Steve and Natasha's mind, the two looked at each other wide-eyed, "Issie!" Both of them shouted at one another and darted down the hallway and barged into Isabelle's bedroom.
Tony sighed and shook his head, "well... there goes the peace and quiet." Sipping at his coffee, Sam pointed down at the hallway, "You're not even going to question that? Not even a little bit?" Tony shook his head, picking up his mug and heading down toward his lab, "Do you really think I want an answer to that?" Sam shook his head and pulled a face, declaring that Tony had one that argument.
In Isabelle's room, prodding through her things was Natasha and Steve, antsy for the teenage girl to arrive home. Steve gestured to her bookshelf and chuckled, "that's a lot of books." He pointed out, craning his neck to see if there were any familiar book titles that he knew. "Well that girl can certainly read - I'm surprised she doesn't have more -- Oh, what do we have here?" Natasha bent down, picking up some of her notebooks and flicking through them after a page caught her eye.
"No way... Steve - check this out... how old school is this?" Natasha pointed at the page, filled with two types of handwriting, one set they could recognize as Isabelle's and the other they could only assume as Peter's. "Didn't think kids nowaday's still passed notes in class... hey - wait a second -- is that a date plan I see?" Steve chuckled, eying some of the conversation between Isabelle and Peter, his handwriting was small and slightly messy but it was still readable.
Well, what if we go to see a movie? Didn't you want to see Suicide Squad before they stop showing it? We could go in the afternoon and then have dinner together afterward? Or is that too much? I just wanna do something with you other than sitting around doing homework or laying in bed. xx
Both Steve and Natasha chuckled at the boys handwriting, "the little 'x's' wow, this kid has it bad..." Steve pointed out, making Natasha laugh and beam, "Little Issie has him wrapped around her finger that's for sure..." Both of them were delighted to hear from Isabelle the day after Peter asked her to be his girlfriend, although somewhat disappointed to learn this after they had been sent off on a recon mission.
"Hey... guys?" Isabelle silently walked into her room, confused to see the two adults standing at the foot of her bed with her notebooks in their hands. She had just returned from a lunch date with Wanda. "Issie -- you're back! All right, are you just gonna stand there or are you going to give us the details?" Natasha discarded the notebooks, tossing them onto the bed haphazardly. Isabelle raised an eyebrow, "Details? What details?" She combed her fingers through her hair, today she was proud to have done all of her makeup and hair without any help from anyone - including Wanda.
"You and Peter!" Both of them yelled making her cringe and gesture for them to bring the volume down, her eyes hastily looking over at the doorway where thankfully it sounded silent. "Why don't you tell the whole house - what do you mean details? I told you all about it on the phone." Both adults folded their arms and shook their head, Steve pointed a finger at her, "We didn't hear it in person so it doesn't count." Natasha hummed in agreement making the girl groan.
