Chapter Seven: The Secret Admirer

Pippa's POV:

Since today is Sebastian's birthday I decide to get up and make pancakes before waking him up. Lin is taking Sebastian to visit his family, I'm not going because I didn't want to intrude on family stuff. Instead I'm going to the theatre for extra rehearsal time before the show. Just before I'm done making the breakfast I see Lin walk into the kitchen.

"Good morning Pip! Thanks for making pancakes." He yawns when he says this.

"Good morning! No problem I wanted to make the birthday boy his favorite breakfast." I finish cooking the last pancake and Lin helps me set the table.

"Do you want me to get Sebby?" Lin asks walking into the hallway.

"Actually I thought we could both wake him up." I feel a bit guilty that I won't be with Sebastian on his birthday so I want the time I will see him today to be special.

Lin and I walk to Sebby's room and we both yell "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEBBY! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!"

Sebastian immediately wakes up and yells back at us. "I love you too, but you are too loud. I was trying to sleep."

I pick up Sebby and whisper in his ear. "There are pancakes waiting for you in the kitchen."

This excites Sebastian so he jumps out of my arms and runs our of the room screaming "It's my birthday!" over and over.

"What did you tell him?" Lin asks as we follow Sebby out of the room.

"I just told him that his favorite breakfast was waiting for him."

After breakfast Lin and Sebby left to go visit Lin's family. I did some cleaning until it is time to go to the theatre. I decide to walk there since it isn't too far from the apartment.

Since it is pretty early in the day there aren't any fans waiting at the stage door.

The only other people here are Daveed and Leslie. They said that they were writing a song for ESPN's "it happens live" promotion. They must have come here for a quiet place to work.

I enter my dressing room that I share with Jazzy and Renee and see a bouquet of flowers sitting on the counter. They are probably for Jazzy from Anthony. But I still walk over to read the card.

Who could these be from? Lin? No, he agreed to just be friends. Maybe if I bring them home tonight he will say something.

After a few hours of rehearsing by myself Jazzy, Renee and the rest of the cast shows up.

"Who are the flowers from Pip?" Jasmine asks as she enters our dressing room.

"Im not sure. They just signed their name as heart." I say handing her the card.

As Renee enters the room Jazzy squeals, "Guess who has a secret admirer!"

"Who?" Renee looks confused as she asks. "Jazzy you have a boyfriend and Pippa you have a weird thing going on with Lin."

"Lin and I are just friends. We talked about it and that was the best thing to do." Part of me is disappointed that Lin and I aren't going to be a thing, but the rest of me knows that's what is right.

"And because of that she has a secret admirer!! It's like the movies, next thing you know you're going to be falling in love with the mysterious person who left those flowers." Jazzy says getting a little too excited.
