"Awe, is Sierra jealous?" Pansy simpered from across the table. I rolled my eyes and glared up at her. She had her arm looped with Draco's as usual.
"Of what?" I snarled. "If anyone should be jealous it's you."
"Why should I be jealous?"
"Because I don't have the face of a dog and you know who does? You," I snapped haughtily. I stood up from my seat and Airam grabbed my arm, standing as well to follow me. I stopped.
"I'm just going to go to the restroom," I said gently.
"Oh okay, love," she said and shrugged, sitting down as I turned and began to walk out.
Draco still yelled after me. "Sierra! Wait!" I ignored him since I was still a little peeved because he had called Hermione a Mudblood. He tried to stand but Pansy weighed him down as I exited the hall.
Of course I hadn't left because I just wanted to go to the restroom. I wanted to see if I could hear the beast again. It must be some type of snake if it was speaking Parseltongue. The first time I heard it was because it was hissing about killing through the walls, and Harry had heard it too. It was too risky. I had to tell it to stop doing that.
I hurried down to the corridor where I had first heard it, and then crept around quietly, listening for the faintest of hisses. Then I heard it: Master.....where is my master......
My heart lurched. It couldn't go around saying things like that! What if it said my name?!
Sierra...my master...
My eyes widened and I quickly hissed back in Parseltongue: Don't say that! I'm right here!
Master...
I groaned and took off running. I raced into the nearest bathroom but quickly skidded to a halt. Father said it was in a specific bathroom...Moaning Myrtles bathroom! I made a U-turn and ran down the corridor at full speed, wanting to speak to the beast before anyone else who could speak Parseltongue heard it.
I burst into Moaning Myrtles bathroom and collided with the sinks. I felt all around the dirty white marble for one that was different from all the others just as I remembered father said it was under. I was just about to duck under the sinks when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around alarmed and came face to face with Moaning Myrtle. Her touch sent chills up and down my spine. The suspicious glare she was giving me wasn't helping either.
"Er, hi, Myrtle," I said slowly.
"What are you doing in here?" she snapped. I took a step back.
"I--er--needed to wash my hands." I spun back around and attempted to turn on the sink. It didn't work so I quickly scooted to the left and turned that sink on, thrusting my hands under the freezing water. I could see her analyzing me through the dirty mirror.
"Oh were you?" she asked.
"Yes, I was," I said coolly.
She shrugged and then disappeared, mumbling an "alright then."
I let out a sigh of relief as I shut the sink off and wiped my hands on the front of my robes. How come the other one didn't wo-
I almost slapped myself. I ducked under the non-working sink and grinned when my eyes landed on a small carving of a snake that was on the side of the pipe.
Open
I jumped back as soon as I hissed those words because the sinks began to open up, creating a tunnel that was pitch black and slanted downward. I giggled and sat on the edge, pushing myself down. "Wee!" I laughed as the slide-like tunnel took many wild twists and turns. I landed with a thud and something cracked under me. I looked down and gagged as I realized they were rat bones. I retched and stood up quickly as I heard more creaking echo through the tunnel I had just slide through. The sinks were closing back up.
