The next morning I felt like I was going to throw up any second. Airam and Jalen tried to convince me that I would be fine, but in my head, all I could think of was the Shrinking Charm and how I knew I wasn't going to be able to perform it on the dragon. The very idea of it made me want to laugh and cry at the same time. Why had Snape even decided to waste his time trying to teach me that? Even if I could've performed it on the cabinet, there was very little chance I could do it on a full grown fire-breathing dragon!

All of a sudden, my head started pounding. I stopped midway out of bed and gripped onto it, wincing.

"Are you okay?" Airam asked. I felt her put a hand on my shoulder. The pounding slowly decreased and I looked up.

"Yeah--yeah, I'm alright," I said. I stood up and made my way to the restroom to get ready. I figured it was probably my father trying to get into my head. I considered letting him into my head for a few seconds, but then decided against it. I didn't have enough time, and what if he made me faint?

I finished getting ready and Airam, Jalen, and I headed down to the Great Hall.

"Riddle!" someone yelled. I turned and was surprised to see Daniels jogging toward me. Airam and Jalen stopped in their tracks along with me and both cast angry looks back at him.  I glanced at the table and noticed Draco. He was glaring at Daniels too as he stood up abruptly, making his way over to us by shoving a couple of smaller students out of his way. He got to us before Daniels and turned me away from him as Airam and Jalen protected us from behind.

"Don't talk to him," Draco muttered into my ear. "I heard him and Pansy talking about you last night. He can't be up to anything good."

"Riddle!" Daniels hollered again. "Riddle!" I heard his footsteps right behind us. I believed what Draco said because I had seen them talking and sending me sketchy looks a couple of nights ago. Someone grabbed my shoulder and spun me around out of Draco's arms. "Come on now, Riddle, don't be like that," Daniels panted. His eyes didn't have their usual glint and he wasn't grinning. He looked worried. "I need to tell you something--"

"She's under enough stress without you, so get lost!" Draco snapped. He grabbed my wrist and tugged me towards the table and we sat down, Airam and Jalen in front of us. Theodore, Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle quickly scampered over to us.

Daniels stood behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders, causing me to tense up. "Riddle, please, it's really important," he pleaded. My knuckles were turning white from gripping onto my fork so hard. I didn't say anything. After a while, I heard a sigh.

"He left," Airam breathed and I released my fork.

"I can't believe he tried to talk to you after he turned on you," Jalen spat, glaring at the back of his head.

"He still is very cute, though," Airam noted and Jalen gave her a scolding look, before shrugging and nodding in agreement. I still didn't say anything. Something about the way Daniels had been looking at me was telling me something else.

"Did you hear what him and Pansy were talking about?" I asked Jalen.

She shook her head. "No, I'm just going off what Malfoy said right now," she said. I looked over at Draco. His growing hair was hanging over his eyes as he looked up at me.

        "Did you?" I asked.

"I didn't hear exactly what they were saying, but I did hear your name. Since it was Pansy talking, it can't have been good," he explained, glaring down the table where Daniels sat. He was, indeed with Pansy, but she looked a bit angry at him, whispering and using her hands while Millicent and Tracey nodded in agreement. It made sense. Pansy wanted revenge because I turned her green (which had wore off) and Daniels was mad because he thought I put my name in the Goblet and didn't tell him. Well--he was half right but not entirely. I didn't put my own name in and there was no way I could've told him. Anyway, why wouldn't they team up against me? I was still curious as to what he wanted to tell me—
