"Come see this!" Draco beckoned at me from across the common room and I walked over. I stood up on my tip toes to see the notice board everyone was trying to get a glimpse at.

"Dueling Club?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at him. "Oh yes, let's join because I need plenty of help with that," I added sarcastically. Draco laughed.

"Yeah you're good but let's just go. I heard Lockhart is hosting it."

I gagged dramatically. "You can watch him look like an idiot," he sang. I perked up at this.

"Alright, we're going then."

"Just because I'm calling you Blaise doesn't mean you can touch me," I snapped at Blaise, shoving his arm off of me. He chuckled but stopped when Draco wrapped his arm around my shoulders like Blaise had a second ago.

" Oh but you let Draco?" he asked, feigning hurt. Draco laughed, tightening his grip around me as we all walked down to the Great Hall for the Dueling Club.

"They've been doing that since they were probably born so don't get offensive, Blaise," Theodore said making Airam giggle and Crabbe full out laugh.

"Oh, there's our brave protector," Jalen joked as we entered the Great Hall. I looked to where she was referring to and my eyes landed on Lockhart, flashing that pearly white smile at everyone who passed.

"You said you wanted an autograph? Oh no? Well I'll give you one anyway."

I snorted as we passed and Draco dropped his arm off of me as we walked up to a huge black stage they had set up in the middle of the hall. All of the house tables were pressed up against the walls in order to create space for the incredibly long stage. Once everyone had arrived for the most part, Lockhart hopped up onto the stage and Snape seemed to just appear. "Gather around, gather around!" Lockhart called. Everyone became quiet and focused their attention on him. "Can everyone see me? Alright, good!" I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest.

"This better be amusing," I mumbled to Draco.

"Dumbledore has given me permission to give host this Dueling Club in order to train you so you can defend yourself-"

"Like you defended yourself against the pixies," Airam giggled into my ear.

"-I have done this many times before of course," Lockhart added which made Airam and I snigger into our hands. "Professor Snape here will be my assistant! He's going to help me with a little demonstration before we begin. Now, on't any of you worry; you'll still have your Potions Master when I'm done with him." He chuckled cockily and Snape stared at him with an emotionless expression. Snape locked eyes with me and I swore I saw them glint with malice, making me smirk. I was ready to see him destroy Lockhart. I swore I saw Snape smirk back at me. "On the ready." Both Lockhart and Snape faced each other, bowed, held their wands up, and turned, taking ten paces away from each other. They turned to each other quickly. "On the count of three." I was grinning so hard. "One...two...three!"

"Expelliarmus!" Snape pointed his wand at Lockhart and there was a loud bang and Lockhart went sailing across the room and slammed into the wall. I cheered along with the rest of the Slytherins.

Lockhart got up and stumbled back over to Snape. "Er--" He cleared his throat awkwardly, his cheeks pink. "Well--uh--yes! There you have it! That's what you call a disarming spell. Very good idea to show them that, Professor Snape, but if you don't mind me saying, it was very obvious what you were going to do and if I had wanted to black you it would have been fairly easy."
